Woohoohoo!!!

Two more like that please.

Starting to really hate the Knights. Dirty bastards. Is Parros going to do anything about Pietrangelo? Or is that too close to something that Parros would have done himself?

Pietrangelo took an absolute thumping AGAIN tonight.

I don’t know how an over hand swinging two-handed hack like that so far from the puck isn’t at least a game. If not, Bjustad may as well try to break Pietrangelos arm at the end of game 5 as well.

Yeah thats a pretty crazy precedent to set - two handed slash star players at the end of the game.

Hopefully they can steal it in Vegas so they can eliminate these clowns in Edmonton.

If he gets a suspension the constant pounding is already a success.

Regardless, dude is gonna shatter a bone in one of these games the way he’s been targeted.

Great win

I repeat after game 2, would be nice to see a follow up on the effort

Calling it now.

$5000 fine for Pietrangelo.

We just proved we can beat their third string goalie. We are in their heads and we found the recipe to win. Keep it up boys!!!

100% this. The Oilers are better than these guys as a team. Don't foster the oh we will get that one back mentality. The need to think move forward because the job ain't done until it is done.

Well, that is a good response. Good support in their own end, excellent possession in the Vegas end for the most part. Now ffs maintain that level.

Nice to see Skinner take it up a few levels. Ekholm with his 1st from a spot he scored a couple times in the regular season. Nuge finally!

Might see both Peterangelo and Nurse getting a game. Nurse no need to take an instigator late in a game. Good fight, dumb timing as the guy has done a few times.

Must win next game.

Trash if nurse is suspended just to allow for Peter Angelo too. The last 5 min rule is to stop players on losing teams from trying to get revenge late. Not at all the situation for nurse after battling with Hague all night.

Not even close to equivalent in deserving a suspension, but guess wouldn't be surprised if this crap league suspends both.

Great game!

Janmark makes a big difference.. both on the PK.. and also how his addition better balances the 4 forward lines.. few turnovers.

But Nurse just put the team in jeopardy at the end of the game by gift-wrapping the NHL DoPS an opportunity to hamstring the Oilers by suspending him.. not something you'd hope from an 8 year vet.
I don't think the thought of a suspension even entered his head.. high risk.

Yup Janmark didnt look too hindered out there. I like how the bottom 6 had cohesive units as a whole. That McLeod line just gives the knights fits in their own end.

You just can't take that instigator as Nurse given where this series is. You need him that next game. The league is NOT going to suspend Peterangelo and merely fine Nurse.

That is such a lame instigator. Those guys were probably chatting about fighting all night long. Gloves off at the same time. Nurse didn't even get a punch in until he took 5 in the head. Clown Coward league if they suspend nurse for this.

Hope you're right and they might not suspend him. It's a great management opportunity for DoPS though. Part of me doesn't want Peterangelo to get any recovery time due to a suspension either.

Gotta give Desharnais some credit tonight. The delay of game was not great but just had a quiet low event night. What you hope for from him. Played 3rd most 5v5 time too.

He's in much more danger when we are letting fast wingers against us just rip down his side. Vegas doesn't have the young speedy wingers to be on top of him all night.

Looked very mutual. He saw Nurse and was instantly ready to grab. Gloves off at the same time at the very least, possible Hague first, and Hague was throwing first too.

Two guys battling all night, refs likely heard them talking fight all night too. Truly a joke if Nurse is suspended.

I think the "spirit" of the instigator rule should not result in a suspension.. both were willing participants.. both had been beaking about it all game.. Hague had been taking some potentially suspendable shots all series, especially the knee on Hyman.. and got no suspension or penalty..

Regardless, it gives the DoPS the opportunity to interpret it as they see fit.. they could just default to "by the letter" and say its out of their control (which it isn't) and suspend him.. it just gives them an excuse to do anything they feel like doing.. I guess we'll see, should be interesting!

It gives them such a nice out with Pietrangelo...I can see both getting off, maybe with a fine to Pietrangelo, or I can see them both getting suspended so that Parros can sleep at night feeling like he didn't impact the outcome.

Honestly, if Nurse got 1 game and Pietrangelo got 2, I'd take it.

Not at all something the NHL needs to send a strong message to deter from happening, especially to playoff leading scorers.

Upon further review.. something Woody said about Nurse vs. Hague in his interview.. he said Hague threw 8 punches by the time Nurse finished throwing his 1st.
Checking the video proves Woody was right.. Refs made the wrong call.. first guy to start punching was Hague.. 8 times before Nurse threw one.. .. Hague was the guy that started fighting.. until then all Nurse did was grab hold of Hague's jersey ..then Hague started throw'n.. he threw 8 by the time Nurse threw his 1st..

Note: There actually are 8 in there.. Hague gets the 4-7 punches off real short and quick.. hard to see at this frame rate.. but verified by PVR.

IMHO.. The NHL should actually nullify the instigator call on Nurse.. therefore zero reason for suspension.

Pieterangelo though.. that was an overhead Battle Axe chop from the rafters, and he got LD's upper body, just missed his head.. wasn't stick and hands..

Watching DoPS do the logic gymnastics trying to explain their decisions will be interesting, as they always are.

I missed the game on Monday as I was so tired and didn't bother to watch the full game post lowlights and everyone's comments on here. This was so much more like the Oilers we know once more. We just need to put a back to back performance and we'll be good to go.

It's either one goes for a suspension or both go. Game 5 is going to be fun for sure.

Fun game to watch. Pietrangelo should be suspended, and Nurse shouldn't be, but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they both got the same punishment, be that a fine or a one game suspension, because DoPS.

Can we have a moment of silence for Nuge's playoff "beard?" Poor guy.

Game 5 is gonna be fun...really wish we could string together more than one good game at a time.

Went to this one, crowd was loud. I like that they get the crowd to stand up at the beginning. I don’t think they did that last year.

Got a win by dominating 5v5 play, Skinner was sharp, Adin Hill got exposed.

Didn’t see how vicious the Pietrangelo slash was until later. Oilers have been going hard after him, and he took an hard awkward check into the boards from Kane. It was Pietrangelo’s own fault with his pivot, but that seemed to be the straw that broke the camels back. Should have picked a better way to retaliate.

I am likely to lose it when Nurse inevitably gets the same punishment as Pietrangelo. Nurse and Hague was a hockey scrap. Pietrangelo was an attempt to injure. He should get a few games for that at least, but I'm guessing a $5k fine. Can't wait to hear Parros' gymnastics on this.

Let’s not forget Theodore’s little paddle to Kostin’s hammer. That’s gotta be a fine as well

Great game to watch live. I thought the whole team came to play tonight.

They were extremely physical and clearly going after Pietrangelo and Stone. I thought the Oilers try to hit often but keep it fairly clean, the Knights do a lot of dirty stuff.

If Nurse gets suspended, then this league is a bigger joke than I think it is. I know what the intent of the rule is. Teams in blow outs used send out goons in the last 5 mins to fight. This wasn't the case. Nurse and Hague have been wanting to go for several games. Nurse didn't jump in and force him to fight. He went to Hague, let Hague get ready and Hague even got in the first punches. The suspension should be overturned.

I think Pietrangelo should be suspended. When you do a baseball swing at a guy, you are trying to hurt him. But I think they will just give him a fine. It's an easy way for the league to overturn Nurses suspension. We won't suspend Pietrangelo, inexchange we won't suspend Nurse.

Great to see Nuge score finally. They need him to get going badly.

I thought Kane had a hell of a game. He was a force.

Surprise me NHL for a change. Do the right thing and overturn Nurses potential suspension. There was 2 very willing guys wanting to fight and Hague threw the first punches. That isn't worthy of an instigating suspension. Suspend Pietrangelo. That was a clear intent to injury. It wasn't a hockey play. He came directly over to Drai to try and hurt another player. That's not what the league should be all about.

Calling it - NHL will fine Pietrangelo and suspend Nurse.
