Great statement game by the Oil after that first game loss. This wasn't some tight game that the Knights could look at as some proof that they could still compete even in a loss. This was a downright pistol-whipping that was only marred by the inability to get Skinner the shutout, especially after they chased Brossoit out of the game. Hopefully, this will be impetus for the Oil to win the next 3 straight to finish out this series before moving to the WC Final again.

If Skinner had gotten the shutout, my pants would have wound up sticky.

Think we got typical Hyman back in this one. Skinner looked great. Really limited the defensive errors vs last game. Vegas didn't bring their best so gotta be ready for Vegas to come flying in game 3.

Lots more players looked useful in this game. Hopefully one we build on

The secret to this game is to forget it ever happened now and to bring the same fire to Game 3. This is only slightly more important than Game 1. It's over and behind us and so as good as it felt, it's only a tiny step. Got to do more of the same on Monday.

I have no idea why this effort level is so hard to replicate, but here is hoping they e unlocked something special.

They completely changed their gameplan against the 1-3-1 sit back Kings.

Game 1 they were still playing Kings plan, which backfired against the speed and hustle of the Knights.

Game 2... Oilers got back to their own gameplan and the Knights couldn't keep up.

Very much looking forward to the rest of this series with the Oil back again to what made them successful the last chunk of the season.

Rishaug has been boo hooing about Woodcrofts game day skating different line combinations than puck drop combinations. I get his point, but he should just stfu about it after a while. There are other things to talk about, but he clings onto his observations a bit more than needed.

Then his “stop the presses” news flashes about potential Oiler injuries.

I think Woodcroft views Ryan as a bit of a tool and enjoys exposing it. I expect many more burns.

Amazing. It’s so juicy. And the every chance he got mocking Carrier for his best Zach “Huggy Bear” Stortini impression during the fights tonight. So good.

Yeah the huggy bear routine was gold!

That shot that MCabe took on Hyman looked like it hit head first, Sportsnet never really showed any good angles of it..

Looks like Evander blew her a kiss.

Her wristband is likely the buffet. Good call there.

She probably wanted a good smashing by Evander after the game, so her hand gestures were a signal.

But why are her hands so tiny? Seriously, they belong on a 5 year old.

In all fairness, those are actually very well proportioned and sized hands. Some may say bigly than average. A lot of people are saying her hands are actually quite large and more capable than her opponent’s hands. They’re much different in person. I’ve seen them, and I’ve sort of witnessed them—in fact, in two cases I have actually witnessed them. Believe me. It’s just what I heard. Everyone’s talking about them

The only game on Saturday night for HNIC.

At a decent time for viewing. The boys didn’t disappoint.

Statement game.
