Good on Bouch to tie it up with a great wrister from the point. I am still concerned about the pattern from Saturday's game continuing tonight, however (Knights take lead, Oil play catch-up).

The Oilers play hockey like I play Mario Kart. I like to be chasing. It gives me something to focus on. When I have the lead I get bored, start looking around, run into brick walls that would have been obvious to anyone building the team. Basically I choose not to play defense.

Maybe, but it would be nice to see the team actually hold a lead for once, like they are right now off Nuge's goal.

Ah, Bouch, felt guilty about scoring that first goal, so you had to gift them one in return?!

One doesn't generally expect the best PP in the league to cough up a shorty. Thankfully, Drai restored the lead.

But I do expect the Oilers to cough up leads. I don't know how or when, but I'm never surprised if it happens.

Of course, but I think it's better for them to be coughing up leads than to be chasing games like they did against the Knights on Saturday.

Seemed like a weird bounce off Bouchard and McDavids stick to me on the one angle. I could be wrong.
Possible bad play aside, I have a hunch what will be chiseled on the 2023 postseason tombstone if they crater. Sketch goaltending situation.

I watched a lot of Kings hockey because of terrible fantasy drafting. I thought Quick was the third best Kings goalie by a wide wide margin this year. I can't imagine he'll be getting any post season time.

Dangit, absolute barn burner & I gotta head to work in 6 hrs.
Ah screw it, I'll deal with the tiredness tomorrow.
Tighten up our turnovers & we'll smash these guys. Of course, with our team that's easier said than done...

These two teams always play close intense games. Destined to be that way.
Crazy first period.
I’ll get a vodka and get ready for the second
After these 28 seconds are done

I may need one of those to survive this night. I wouldn't say we've tightened up our play just yet...
