The Oil played like they understood the importance of this game and came away with the points. You can’t ask for any more than that. Special kudos to Killer Kane for getting the hatty.

I thought we played like garbage for the majority of that game. Seattle completely outplayed us, but we made the most of our opportunities while they didn't.

Krakheads were harder on sticks overall.. a few guys on the Oilers need to bear down and get stronger on loose pucks.. lost too many puck battles.

I have to disagree. The team did suffer lapses at times, yes, but overall they played well enough to win. It was far from a pretty one, but a win’s a win.

Yikes. Following the whole MacTavish/Schultz debacle, I feel like maybe it's best if we don't talk Norris Trophy around our defencemen until they're actually nominated...

I'm just glad we're not pre-nominating a 19 year old this time.

We kinda got our Klefbom back here. And Bouch is a great partner for him. Both guys can move the puck up well. Without a doubt our top pair now with Ceci having such a rough season and arguably they are playing better than Klef/Larsson did back in 2017.

Not even close to a well played game for Edmonton, but a huge win in the Pacific. Garbage game in the Oilers zone, and in the transition for the Oilers out of their zone. Goalie win even though Skinner let in 4.

If Seattle had a couple bonafide first liners and a goaltender, they're s top team in the west. Their style matches well with Edmonton to provide opportunities, but their goaltending is inferior to Skinner.

After this one, Seattle is probably like us when Campbell starts, the Oiler score 4 and lose.

3 of the first 4 Kraken goals were caused by lazy clearing attempts in order to create some sort of odd man rush going in the other direction.....only for the puck to end up in the back of their own net.

To lose a majority of the puck battles and give the Kraken 3 easy goals while coming up with the win? Very fortunate...will take it.

Stu needs a game off as wasn't his best today.

Another loose, sloppy game, but we get the two points and that's what matters here.

It's definitely time to play Campbell again. Skinner didn't look great, even with the shot count tonight. Some of those goals were pretty leaky - the kind that if they'd happened to Campbell or Koskinen he'd be lambasted for. He didn't let in six though, so we win!!!

True about Stu leaking a couple and I agree they should start Soup next game if anything to see if he is capable of letting in less than 6 if we actually need him to in the playoffs.

Stu is still our guy come playoffs. Got a point in 25 of the 39 games he has started and I believe 13th best save percentage. He lets in some stinkers at times, but he is a very good goalie. I have lost all hope for Campbell honestly. The guy is just a loss cause.

I would absolutely go in to the playoffs with the expectation that Skinner is the guy. That said, I wouldn't ride him hard down the stretch. There's no need to do that. Our chances of making the playoffs are like 98% right now.

We need Campbell to be part of the team too. We've seen goalies implode in the playoffs (both Smith and Koskinen) and we've seen goalies get hurt in the playoffs (Roloson). You need to have a second guy who's able to step in, and if Campbell barely plays for 6 weeks prior to the post-season, that's not putting him in a position to be successful.

And you're increasing the possibility of Skinner folding or getting hurt if he's the only guy we play. I really hope it's Soup in net for the game against San Jose.
