Good to see Connor skating and looking none the worse for wear after that collision on Thursday.

Woodcroft is taking this game seriously, as Skinner gets the start.

Earlier in the game, the broadcast showed a graphic with stats outlining how the Oil ranked in various categories since Feb 11. Not shockingly, they ranked horribly in goals against and PK%. However, I'm interested to see how they have ranked since Ekholm arrived and Skinner got more starts in net, because it has easily been nowhere near as bad as those stats showed in that time span.

ya, refs have moved into 'no oilers pp' mode the last few games. I guess its 'not fair' to be really good at a specific thing.

That is quite honestly the stupidest play I have ever seen in god knows how many years. Everywhere you can put a puck and you put it there. If I was the coach my head would have exploded. Good on Woodcroft for not shaking the piss out of him ala Don Cherry/Mike McEwen.

The forbidden sin. NEVER pass the puck in front of your net. Now the comeback has been in full force because of that one stupid stupid mistake. That's junior hockey right there.

I think it takes blood or unconsciousness for the Oilers to get on the PP in this one. Refs watching the evolving odds pretty close.

The refs have sucked tonight, but they are not the reason the Laffs are winning the game now. Just 3 brain-dead plays at bad times to cough up 3 straight.

Jeez - that turned around real quick.

And agree about the refs - they suck. Oilers should have had a few PP at least, I also agree they aren’t the ones serving up pizzas right up the gut. So many brain dead plays in that 7-10 minute span.

Oh well - PP to start the 3rd. Get one there and you have 18+ minutes to get another one by Matt Murray.

Thank god for at least one person seeing the reality in this game.
9/10 posts in here complaining about the refs. Yet, the reason the team is losing is that the ratio of terrible shifts is roughly the same as terrible posts in here.

There has been a lot of lazy hockey and WAY too many unforced errors. Add in a couple that Skinner should have saved and you have a two goal deficit.

Woodcroft has a lot to discuss with the team during this intermission, and by "discuss" I mean "screaming his lungs out". Hopefully he can get them focused for the last period.
