Nurse thinks better about going off the ice after the 3 on 1 he created.

Ok back to being unproductive for myself....I wouldn't necessarily blame Campbell as whole team was super flat starting out...
Oilers have always had issues against no talent/no identity hardworking teams...this game is no exception

First game I've watched on Sportsnet this year. Or rather, I should say, have TRIED to watch. Constant freezes, then jumping ahead a minute. I switched it off at 3-0 as it was unwatchable. Pretty sad when free streams of dubious legality run smoother than the official TV broadcast.

McDavid now with 15 points in his last 6 games. Now 22 up on Drai for second and 31 up on Kucherov for third. On pace for 153 on the year. Which would be the 15th best season in NHL history. Only Yzerman, Lemieux and Gretzky have done better.

McDavid is the best captain we've had since Jason Smith, and whilst not being as physical as Messier, he'll certainly put the team on his back when he's needs to like Moose would.
Had us down for a 3-5 loss, but will gladly take us winning from here.
Take me home, country road
to the place where I belong
to Alberta, to see the Oilers
take me home, country road

Draisaitl doing everything he can via turnovers to give Columbus some momentum.
The guy needs to cut it out with the turnovers. Two opportunities for the Jackets off of back to back giveaways from Leon. Must tick Connor off when he sees it happen over and over again.
FFS. And the Jackets score.
Bad shift from the Oil, but that momentum from Draisaitl is ridiculous. So aggravating.

Leon is a train wreck in this third period. Almost singlehandedly killing off this PP.
The guy needs to take some time off and watch from the rafters. Garbage hockey.
Sure he's scoring... but the rest of his game is awful right now.
ADDED - Usually I'm a huge Leon fan, fyi. I'm so disappointed with his complete game right now. He has 13 5v5 goals this season. For a guy that plays as much as he does, that's not good.

Nuge with a slow pickup of the 2 on 1, and boom... two goal lead for the Jackets.
The Oilers take their foot off the gas and start playing loose, and they effed it up.
Giveaways all over the place. Brutal hockey to finish this game.
The Blue Jackets are going to sweep the season series against the Oil. The dead last team in the NHL, is going to take all the points this season against our boys. That is dreadful.
God damn it Leon. The Oilers have the momentum again and he kills it. Bench the guy.

Exciting game, but a terrible result. That's an expected win for a good team.
Brutal.

how was that not ampenalty when McDavid was tackled?
Jackets have beaten a number of good teams recently, including Toronto. They have nothing to play for and are playing relaxed. Sometimes the other team wins (good goalie, Oil asleep for ridiculous 12:30pm Columbus start. Fricken American TV networks.

I bet you'd play better than Jacko.
He looks tiny in net. Get the guy some bigger pads.

Other then the second goal he wasn't to blame. If your going to let the other team have out numbered chances in the slot then not much the goalie can do but pray. The last goal was just a weird bounce off the glass that went right to Laine.

Agree. It cant be over stated how much these lunch time games screw with a players game day. When they should be sleeping off a big lunch they are playing. I think CBJ has the edge here as they play quite often in these nooner games.
