Is there a reason Skinner isn't starting or has the coach made the starting goalie decision?

ESPN had a graphic that said the Oilers are 16-0-1 when Foegle scores. Which is neat.

Pretty solid game by everyone so far. Hope not a jinx.
Boy is Colorado different without Makar driving the play all night long.

They're pretty lucky the Avs aren't looking after the puck very well.

But we don't score goals with Skinner. Campbell 2:1 record with 0.888. Skinner barely over .500 with .913
Quite a conundrum. Campbell can let crap in all night and leave with a win. Skinner makes a mistake or two and it's hopeless. Sometimes just hopeless from the start of the game for Stu no matter how he plays.

Clean sheet according to ESPN box score for giveaways by the Oilers except LD with 2, and I think that's light.

Hmmmm,
Option 1 grab puck with blocker hand.
Option 2 grab post right over the puck and try to pull your entire body over to somehow create extra pressure with the edge of your skate onto the top of the puck to make it push into the ice enough that a stick can't hit it in.
I choose option 2

Yeah I wonder what the physics are of applying pressure to 2 round objects against each other? Surely that puck stays frozen, amirite? 😃

The good news is this week of defensive collapses might be the defensive collapses that finally more the immovable fossil into DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THE DEFENSE. Not the offensive defense. The defense defense. You know, the part of a team that should be able to hold multiple consecutive leads.

Not to dispute this, because 3rd and 4th goals were terrible, but that was a poor face-off, poor coverage and an own-goal deflection off Nurse's knee. Can't blame him too much on that last one.

Worth noting, Ceci hasn't looked great lately. Neither has Kulak. Those are supposedly the defensive consciences of the Oilers defence...
