New York Rangers get Vlad Tarasenko and Niko Mikkola - St Louis gets Sammy Blais, Hunter Skinner, 2023 cond 1st and 2024 cond 4th - blues retain 50% cap hit.

Likely that means they are no longer in the Patrick Kane conversation.

That doesn't seem like a huge return especially since the Blues retained 50%. Maybe prices aren't as high as some people think. I had heard some people say this could be a buyers market.

Tarasenko had a no trade clause, drives down his trade value.

So does Kane... and Chicago owes Holland a favor for taking all of Keith's contract.

Kane has 9 goals, Chicago might be returning him the favour by NOT sending him here.

He's just saving his energy for his cup run icon_wink

Honestly though. He went into this season knowing he was going to be traded to a team of his choice. Could see him still being in exhibition mode. For most players I would question how hard it would be for him to start the engine again and play for real, but Kane is a unique player.

I agree, once Kane is out of Chicago he’s gonna go into full gear.
I just don’t know where.. Crosbys wing? Lol I can’t see it being here. I’m in the camp of hoping we get Chychrun as we need to bulk the defense.

I don't know - there have been a lot of rumours about the state of his hips this year. If he's hurt, he might not be able to elevate his game.

I suspect that he would prefer to be a lot better than he has been this year, and that if he were able, he'd be scoring a lot more. I could see a situation where the Blackhawks aren't even able to move him if they're insisting on a premium return, because if he's not healthy, he's a challenging bet to make while there's other options. Would you take him over, say, Dylan Larkin if you had the choice?

Either would be amazing to acquire but Patrick Kane is one of the most dominant wingers so I go with him, also on asking price as well. I loved watching that hawks team destroy the Canucks in the playoffs.

Hope he’s able to return to form, it’s exciting for the game.

I will forever have a soft spot in my heart for the Hawks and Bruins, teams and players, after they both demolished the Canucks at their peak in the playoffs. Living in B.C., they saved my sanity.

St Louis not getting any current player that is at least trending to be a solid top 6 player back is kinda surprising, especially with 50% retained.

Rangers vs Boston Conference final would be a good show.

And the conditions are - the rangers have both their 1st and Dallas's 1st - whichever is lower
4th becomes a 3rd if Rangers make playoffs.

That looks like an absolute steal for NYR.

For a moment I thought Sammy Blais' shooting % for the year was 16%. I thought, that's not so bad... then I realized it was his F/O %

Great trade for the Rangers - even better if they manage to re-sign either ...

Tarasenko and Panarin? Damn that’s gonna be some dangles there. Love it, can’t wait to watch McDavid, Drai and co beat ‘em.
