Good job.
Big win to put pressure on top of Pacific.
I notice the Chicken Little's have been real quiet lately.

Beauty win. The Oilers have decided to commit to a full 60 minutes now, or at least it looks like it...

Hi, little chicken here! Oilers went back to playing like they did last year in February. Not sure why it took half a season to become engaged and play as a team but hey, I'll gladly be wrong if they continue to play with this effort level. I'm just shocked we won a game without Allstar JP in the lineup. Another solid game for broberg!

Switched gloves after that stinker and then made a solid catch a few moments later with the different glove.
This is the positive of the streaky Campbell. Hopefully it maintains for awhile yet

Another great win.
5 points away from division lead.
Vegas is battered, Mark Stone is having back problems again.
Its definitely there if they want it enough.

Solid dub. Depth scoring on fleek. Jack looking like soup you can eat with a fork, lately.
Also pretty slick how many in the twitterverse wanted the Oil to claim Tolvenen (they didnt) but he still scores a (backbreaking) goal to put the Oil up 4-2.

Why are you hating on a guy who was not even in the lineup? Seems a bit unnecessary, especially when it looks a departure is imminent. No need to pee on the guy as he goes out the front the door.

Worth noting that many of those who tout the strengths of Puljujarvi were pointing out that Tolvanen looked like a fantastic waiver claim because of great underlying offers. Jim Matheson scorned that potential pickup at the time.
Instead we still employ Devin Shore...

Oilers had some trouble with the rate of play of Seattle early I thought but got going. McDavid doing his thing (yawn), Hyman having a night and some luck, and the lesser lights getting some opportunistic oily goals.
Soupy let in an own goal courtesy of Nurse, let in a smelly one but stopped the rest. He doesn't look nearly as good technically as Skinner, but looking and playing much better than a few starts ago. Thank goodness Skinner stepped in and played as well as he did. It'll help a lot defensively and on the kill if both these guys are above water.
Kane looked pretty good, should have had one, could have had another. I was shocked he killed penalties. This game could have easily been 8-2.

Kraken looked sharp on their PPs in the 1st. After that it looked like they ran out of gas. OIL got a bunch of breaks and overcame the freebie Campbell gave up.
Let's see what Tampa has left in the tank Thursday.
...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

Looking like a completely different team than a month or two ago.
Campbell looking like a completely different man, whatever he figured out is working.
Everyone is moving the puck to the net and getting rewarded for their efforts.
Keep building on whatever they got going!

Didn't get to watch this one, but huge win!
Campbell with his 4th game in a row with a .900+ save %. That's awesome. Saw the highlight of the one that went through his glove - on the one hand it looks super weak, but on the other, at least his glove was in the right place? Anyway - 4 in a row over .900 for the first time this year. That's a good sign.
Also great to see some goals from our depth guys these last few games (McLeod 3 goals in his last 5, Janmark 4 pts in his last 4, Kostin 4 goals in his last 4, Holloway with 4 points in his last 4)
And to win the 5 on 5 matchup for the 5th game in a row is awesome. Great to see us with the best PP in the league and to see the PK improving (though still quite a way to go to get to around middle of the pack), but come playoff time, you need to be able to outscore them at ES.
Anyway - pretty good streak here that is not just because of 29 and 97.

Good win. I thought for most of it the Oilers were the superior team. I am loving how they seem to have decided to play defense. 4 games in a row.
Campbell let in that bad one but other than that was very good again. Great to see.
Depth scoring! 3 goals from bottom 6 guys. I thought Foegele had a good game.
Broberg is continuing to rack up good games. I am starting to see why they would be reluctant to trade him. Teams going for a cup need players on ELC's to fill in some holes.
Keep it going! With all those early games against all those good teams, the Oilers schedule is setting up where they play a bunch of weaker teams and have the potential to go on a bit of a run.

The last 4 games we have looked like a complete team for the most part. It’s been a breath of fresh air. If we keep playing like this we can beat almost anybody. Tampa is red hot. That should be another good challenge for us to see where we stand
Granted we have beat them once already this year if I recall correctly

I swear, the look that Jack Campbell gives his glove hand is the exact same look of scorn and disdain that Mike Smith would give his defencemen...

In 2019 my garage got broken into literally one day after renovating it and getting it optimally organized. They made a mess in there, but only stole one thing: my axe. They left behind someone's random golf club in exchange. It was like a video game equipment upgrade.

In 2004 I had my garage broken into as well. It was just after my wedding and we had a half pallet of pop leftover from the festivities, or like my dad would call it "the mix". They cleaned out my garage, took two sets of golf clubs, all my fishing equipment and lots of tools. They also stole my pop, but left behind four bottles of Pepsi Blue. Picky SOB's.
Side note. I believe the same thieves returned a few months later and robbed me again, but I had not replaced much of my stuff so they just made a mess of my garage door. We got a dog shortly after that.

I have a friend who's car was broken into once. The thieves only took select CD's and left the remainder. If that's not an indictment of his taste in music, I don't know what is.

I almost respect the picky thief. Who drank Pepsi Blue? Not sure of your friends taste in music, but if a thief went into a car a found Tge Best of Engelbert Humperdinck I’d hope he’d leave it behind. He isn’t listening to it and he can’t sell it.

I’ve had them stolen out of the trunk of my old 98 civic (which was later stolen entirely in the same parking spot).
They were a bunch of no name clubs. Powerbilt irons, knock off cleveland wedges…now I got Taylormades and Clevelands but its just not the same ya know.

What a strange scenario for Foegele/Ryan publicly being placed on the "trade block" only for both guys to provide depth scoring last night....
Foegele's production isn't what it's supposed to be for what he's being compensated making me think he gets moved this offseason....however, he's played with more of an edge & provided intangibles since being inserted onto the PK which got him skating harder & more tactically too. His hitting & clutch goals will increase his trade value this upcoming offseason which is a good thing.
I say keep him till this summer and unload JP now to create cap space for other key additions
Good complete game last night from the squad!

Foegele has 5 goals, 9 pts in 33 games. Over 82, that's 12 goals, 22 pts. SO pretty much what he did last year. He had 12 - 26 in 82 games last season. For the price, I suspect they were hoping he'd improve on those numbers a little.

Which of course means he's too expensive for what he brings....though he has been relatively more clutch this season opposed to his production last season coming in garbage time situations
Good to capitalize not just on a team playing their 2nd of a back to back but also coming back west from a long east coast trip.
Hoping we can continue that trend in a favorable Thurs & Sat night against teams in a similar situation

Just saw that Hyman is 5 points away from a career high. Some guys have had a heck of a season already. 25-18-3 after 46 games. Last year we were 25-18-3 after 46. Early struggles for dif reasons, but the cure may be the same. Proper defensive effort by the whole group, and depth stepping up. Goaltending improved around this time last year too.

I've been saying it over and over again. The biggest problem the Oilers were having is a refusal by all players on the ice to play team defense. Early in the year, it seemed the team left defending to the dmen and the forwards just concentrated on scoring. Since after Christmas, I have seen more forwards from top to bottom backchecking hard than was happening all year long. I don't think the coaches has done anything different, I don't think the system got changed, it's a mindset change from the players. Playing defense can be not that much fun but you have to do it to win.

Team just needs a final kick in the butt to put in a proper effort?
Last year coach change.
This year, falling to 5th in the division at the mid point of the year and looking up in shame at the a 2 year old team and the other expansion team ahead of them?

It's frustrating to watch them at times spin their wheels and not play up to their potential. It almost seems like they come in thinking they can buck the trend and bother to play how everyone else does. So they try to go all offense, no defense. When that doesn't work once again, they start playing properly.
