Better keep the foot on the gas, that should be the message. There isn't a safe lead.

Man... I am turning into a huge Janmark fan. Holland has gotten a lot of flack recently for not building a good enough team... but he found a couple of guys that could end up being great middle-six players for this team in Janmark and Kostin.
He's giving it in this game and usually does. Should have a second goal in this game after that great drive.
Solid defensively and can chip in on offense.
You're seeing in this game that - effort - more than anything else, is what has been lacking.

Didn't result in a goal against, but Bouchard cannot get beat like a pylon like that. Will Carrier made him look like he was stuck in mud there...
He's been better lately, but he needs to figure out defense at the pro level.
What... a... clutch... goal... by Klim. Hell of a player.

Too long on the ice for that line. Led to the goal against because they were all gassed.
GOAL!!!! Kostin!!!

Such a good pick up. Love the guy.
Terrible penalty to take from Barrie. As soon as he turned his stick and dug in, that was an immediate call.

I will preface this by saying Janmark has been better the last few games. Tonight he is playing really well.
Until this last bit though I would have strongly disagreed with you. Most games I see Janmark as severely outmatched and barely an NHL'er. Maybe I need to watch him closer as I will fully admit I would have trouble remembering him most games. I suppose on a team that has too many high negative event players that could be a positive.
Anyway, hopefully this last bit is a trend and not a blip as depth will be key.

When the JP trade does finally happen I might have to switch my fan club membership over to Kostin. What an easy player to like and cheer for.

Holy is Kostin having a game as well. I haven't seen someone commit to a block like that in a while.
He paid for it, but man alive... he's earning massive respect.

JFC... that was a terrible D shift by McLeod's line. Keystone cops running all over the place, and the puck is in the net eventually.

What a brutal goal to give up. They showed Klim pissed off on the bench during the replays... the guy goes out and puts his body on the line to keep the lead, and then McLeod's line gives up an easy one.
I'd be PO'd as well.

...a rocket but a lot of goalies would stop that one so late in the period. The team, over the last 2 games, has been able to limit that type of shot against Campbell. This is what happens when they don't.

He looked way out of his element with McDavid when they put him on the wing, but most players do.
He looks great on this line with Nuge and Kostin though.

I disagree. I think Bieksa was right in the intermission. That was just a well executed bang-bang play. Karlsson found his way in to the pocket and the puck immediately came right to him. You can't prevent every goal, and not every goal is a massive failure that we need to shame someone over.

Annoying shot from Nurse there. Too simple a shot with a line stuck out after icing and our big line out. Has to be a little more strategic.
