I’ll be asleep after the team Canada game. Super tired. Hope oilers win this one

Depends which Oilers team shows up. They are showing a good effort to start... hopefully they keep it up.

After watching WJC final, I was ready for a huge loss of pace in watching an Oilers game. I'm pleasantly surprised with this 1st period. Cannot let up a bit here.

Shorty by Yamo. That's a little too on the head.

Horrible shift for the McLeod line and the D, and of course the shot gets through. First period urgency wasn't there.

That redirect from Clutterbuck was nice, but really Campbell? He was looking at the puck the whole way, even after the deflection. The guy just isn't very good, either that or he's just miles away from being what he can be.

He seems committed to giving up at least a goal every 8 to 9 shots. You can basically call the next goal that he's going to give up...

"Right about....... now..."

Someone at the game behind me last night was trying to blame that on Campbell too. That's a massive redirect. I can't blame the goalie on goals like that.

The defenceman who failed to get the puck out on that play (Kulak?) is the most to blame. He's 4 feet from the blue line and he doesn't get it out.

Hockey Gods be praised any time Campbell finishes over .900.

That was a good game by almost everyone. Maybe partly because the Islanders played like crap, but whatever, saw some good defensive effort by the whole team.

Campbell could post a shut out in his next start and the fan base would find some fault in his game. Unfortunately he’s going to have to win everyone back one stop at a time, until people feel confident in him again.

Campbell’s performances should be judged game by game for the foreseeable future, and then block by block. His overall numbers no longer matter if you want to keep your sanity.

Look at us trying so hard tonight defensively. Man would be sweet to do it for more than 1 game every couple weeks.

Right! Also. Campbell was decent. He’s been solid his last three starts. We need more of this
