With that in mind, it makes sense for them to go after the re-sellers. And you know what? I don't give a damn about scalpers losing their tickets. Those people drive the price up in the times when things are good, so if they get slapped down? I'm all for it. I just wish it wasn't simply the Oilers being only focused on the bottom line that led to that, rather than concerned about actual fan experience.

There aren't scalpers anymore. You can't scalp tickets when the primary seller has an unsold inventory of thousands of tickets they can't sell. What we're left with now is STHs who bought overpriced tickets for THE premium entertainment offering in the city and are now stuck with the excess inventory. Their crime is trying to recoup tickets at 90 cents on the dollars while the Oilers are still pretending they're worth a buck.
Unless something drastic happens, the Oilers have priced themselves out of their market.

But with season ticket discounts, you can still sell for greater than 100% of your cost and be below what the Oilers want to sell gate tickets for...
