Oh good lord. Campbell right now is even worse that Dubnyk was when his confidence was at an all time low. NO WAY that should go in against a goalie at any level, never mind the NHL.

Are we sure that Campbell is actually in the net? Or is it possible he is sitting at home and we just have a hologram of him in net? Very suspicious how pucks keep just going through whatever it is in the net for us.

Campbell is broken. Time to waive him and send him to the minors.

Can Campbell get "injured" (wink, wink) then spend some time in the minors on a "conditioning stint" in order to try to get some kind of confidence back? This is absolutely ridiculous.

It's just not an option.
Send him to Hawaii. Send him to a week long Tony Robbins conference. Maybe study his sleep. If they have tried anything, it obviously hasn't worked. Time to get creative with your 5x5 investment, we are stuck with it.
Clean house or bust

Leave no stone unturned, I say!
Horrible call by team NHL on Nuge, btw.

Turned out that way. Soupy needs a game over .900, has had a couple good stops. Fingers crossed. Oilers better score a couple more though.

Yeah, I dont know if .900 is in the cards for Soupy. Oilers need 5 I think.

Does Schwartz need an assistant goalie coach? Campbell could scoop the pucks out between drills.

So assuming we're heading towards the trade deadline with the current roster (with E Kane), what is our greatest area of need? Backup goalie for extra security? Legit top 6 winger? Defensive dman?
I'm awfully tempted to say a goalie...one which we can feel confident in putting in if Skinner sputters. Zero confidence in soup

Reliable, non noticeable D men. Safe plays, quick exits, stay focused, doesn't take Ill times penalties.

I rarely agree with your takes, but I endorse this statement. Skinner is dependable, Campbell is crud. The team can score, but takes too many penalties and gives up too many freebies.
One or two reliable vets would go a long way in fixing some glaring holes on the blueline.

Campbell is a big reason we aren’t winning this by more. He keeps teams in games lol. He’s so bad

Drai dominating vs Nashville is one of those things that can't even be jinxed by basically everyone talking about it leading up to the game.

No kidding. What did they say? 20 goals in 10 games against them? That's insane. At this point I'm just hoping for Hyman to get a 3rd for his first career hatty.

Lol. Verbeek has been at the last two Oil games with trade rumours surrounding JP.
This third period Jesse push reeks of ‘see, he’s good’.
Jack and Louie also doing their best to tell fans that Campbell and Puljujarvi are having a night.

Well, after seeing the replay of Ceci’s screen / deflection on the first goal and not a single apology or admission of such from here (the people her, in general), I am becoming less convinced that the certain media members getting roasted are not the only issue with playing in Edmonton. Unfortunately, we “tend to eat our own”.
Now I’m not defending some other games, but there was really nothing wrong with Campbell’s game this time. He had little chance on all of the goals.

It wasn’t even the first goal. He was still below average and got bailed out by some net front presence, a post/crossbar and was slow from post to post. He stops tracking pucks well multiple times a game.
I’m not saying he’s a lost cause, but what’s the worst case scenario if he was sent to the minors to work out his issues in real game action? I want him to be better and a plus .900 save % is a solid start to rebuilding that confidence.
