Can't get too mad at goalie/defence when offence doesn't show up. Hopefully Drai shows up against his favourite whipping boys tomorrow night.

Time to uncouple 97/29 unless necessary. Maybe get 29 moving again if that happens, cut the finesse back a bit.

Sleepy effort with the puck in all 3 zones, the fancy passes weren't working but they kept trying them anyway and very little went toward the net. I don't get it.

It's about time we get to see what $5million looks like in todays NHL and I mean that with all sincerity.

What the hey was that on the 3/1 and 3/2 in the third period?

Jordan Greenway was apparently caught on camera chirping at Nurse saying "you make 9 million per year and don't do (squat)."

Hoping for a better result against the Preds....

I thought McD and Leon were terrible last night. Both struggled to handle the puck at times. Their passing was off. That 3-1 and McD of all people puts the pass into Nurse's skates which rarely happens and typically not like that. Leon's passes were off. He was missing shots and fanning on shots that he normally buries all the time. The thing about putting those 2 together is if you do that, those 2 have to dominate when they are on and can't be disasters in their own zone. They did not dominate what so ever and were awful defensively. McD was the main one at fault on the second and game winner. You cover your man all the way down the ice, then in the last 15 ft, you let him go so he could stand at the side of the net waiting to fire it in. WHY! Just stay with him.

Except Skinner and Hyman, I didn't think too many had good nights. The Nurse Ceci pairing I thought were OK. None were great.

Dude has only gotten in 12 games this year going a whopping 1-1-2. I know it's fashionable to hate all our players these days - Twitter is full of Oilers fans on about Puljujarvi, Bouchard, Nurse, etc. - but this chirp would be more of a burn if it was coming from someone who actually contributed anything.

It's sort of telling a bit player like Greenway can get away with that, no?

We need a Lucic/Kassian type to lay down the law.

Chortle.

I wouldn't mind Nurse laying down the law there. "What do I do? Well, right now I'm stomping a mudhole in you".

I don't really want Nurse to fight a plug. Greenway can say whatever he wants. I'd just be asking who he is.

At 3M/year, Greenway definitely shouldn’t be chirping someone for making money to do nothing.

I like it when the top defenseman is just a bit unpredictable. Pronger didn't need to decapitate the odd plug, but he did. Punch a random in the throat once in a while.
