Is it like other streaming services where you can share accounts with multiple devices? I’d like the product, but would rather split it 5 ways to ‘screw the man’.

I hate how sports has taken the fun free aspects of a fan and placed a price on fandom.

You must be able to share it, just by sharing your login (created a new login to subscribe, so easy enough to share).

Guess you take the chance that Bobby Nicks has some guys checking the IP's being used to log in to catch people. I don't think I agreed to anything about me not sharing and any penalties, but don't think that means they can't complain about your use, tell you stop, threaten cancellation etc...

What tier fan would this make someone that doesn't buy season tickets? Tier 1D?

Will this grant us more incredibly awkward moments, like in the Oilers PPV days when the organization thought it would be a good idea to release Gene and a camera into the dressing room before the players even had a chance to catch their breath, and come out of game mode?

This one has MacT shooing Gene out pretty directly, but I also remember Roli at one point being much more direct and a lot less courteous shall we say?

Hahaha…not sure what tier this would put me in now. At least I could challenge the Tier system before by telling myself that I live out of market, and season tickets were not an option.

I’m undecided at this point. I’m going to the home opener tomorrow and that’s 4 rink beer. Anyone want to stop by section 109 row 2, I’ll be the guy with a feathered mullet wearing a McDavid jersey. That’s should narrow it down to one of 3 people in my row.

Hard pass.

There is no reason for me to believe the Oilers are willing or capable of producing content that would be interesting to me.

Some perspective. The full year price for Oilers+ is the same price as 2 burgers, 2 bags of chips and 2 pops (at rogers place). Sounds like a good deal to me. 1 full season >>> food that can be eaten in 5 minutes.

Waiting for them to tell me if I can give away the $20 off pizza before I consider splashing the cash.

I've seen lots of people going yes, lots of people saying no over the cost factor in this. I've also heard conflicting stories saying that the club are not or are still looking into shirt sponsorship. I'm trying to convince myself that the idea to monetize some of the online content they are producing is to help in some way to keep ads off our jersey.

I just hope that people are willing to summarize the episodes for those of us not buying this!

I just don't know when I'd watch it even if I did shell out.

Also I wonder if they were filming all season last year, but decided to cut the parts where it got really ugly...

For the 4 current episodes, it's all just highlights mixed with interview style reactions and commentary of the last season and playoffs.

You get to relive the playoffs and the sweep in style listening to the players perspective on every highlight worthy event. Lots of Duncan Keith in pivotal goal against highlights which brings back nice memories. All the crap that went wrong against the Avs was nice to experience again!

Teasers for the next 2 eps look at lot like Oil Change. Holland and all the management scrambling at the draft and free agency trying to decide who to move and who to get.

Guess it could have been worse. Could have bought TSLA stock back around this time.

Oh wait, that's not worse, I could still sell the TSLA for some money back.

Only would consider if it has lessons on trading techniques with Ken Holland.

Oh a boutique offering of master classes. Trading with Holland. Organizational Behavior with KLowe. Modern scouting with Keith Gretzky. The evolution of defensive theory with Paul Coffey. It's the Ongoing History of Modern Hockey.

I’d subscribe for “How to set up a secret pay-off fund for indiscretions” from Bobby Nicks, or a “let your young players percolate before you ruin them” Holland segment, or or a “how to lose your audience while you stand with confidence” from Woodcroft.

Sigh. Maybe next year.

That really summarized the whole Katz era. Cashing in on hype before the looming despair is noticed.

Stanley Cup Finals run hype!
Taylor Hall hype!
RNH slightly less hype!
Look we got a Yakupov, lel
MCDAVID!!!!!! HYPE!!!
Old building farewell hype!
New building hype!
It's not covid anymore tempered hype!
3rd round hype!
Mix in a half dozen new coach / new GM hypes

The team has never been good. It's been two decades since the team has been anywhere near good for more than the briefest periods.

I was kinda sickly hoping for some candid moments like Oil Change were you could clearly see how poorly the team was being run. They made their specials in this so painfully boring though. They seem to be very aware of how bad the org looked in Oil Change so they just made these specials as cliche and bland as possible.
