I doubt he breaks the bank next year. Hopefully this cap moves up a bit more than it has in the past few years. Daly keeps talking about how the revenues have increased a lot more than anticipated. Hopefully a new jersey supplier, TNT and additional jersey advertisement revenues get us back to the free-spending days where we grossly overpaid our marginal players, and were just throwing buy-outs around like they were rice at a wedding.
Cautiously optimistic that those days are over.

Of the Oilers 8 buyouts, the current regime has only pulled the trigger on two of them. Which is positive. That one of those buyouts was a player from Holland's first trade as Oilers GM is immaterial. Please don't buyout Warren Foegele.

Apparently McLeod's deal is for $798K, per Rishaug and other sources.
Looks like a real value contract for tthis season for the Oilers, who badly need value contracts.
