Oilers News and Updates
@oilersaccess
Paul Messier is no longer a pro scout for the Oilers.

Last time we heard about Mark's brother, it was in relation to him pushing the team to pick up Derrick Brassard.

Pro scouting has been a weak spot for years, so new blood can't do much worse. And really, how many nepotism hires can a team maintain? If the administration wants to add any other sons or brothers, they have to clear out a little room.

Oilers pro scouting has been horrific for as long as I can remember. Who's the last player they pulled off the scrap heap that has made any kind of a difference?

Brad Holland cleaning house!

I can't even think of a "hockey trade" they've won. David Desharnais score that one big goal? Zack Kassian for Scrivenzina?

Skillfully identified that Evander Kane at a huge discount last season would be a good addition.

Brought in an analytics whiz like Brad Holland. Not a trade precisely but a pretty big win for the organization.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

And to think Old Kenny only had to yell down to the basement to find him!

I don't think it took a rocket surgeon to figure that one out. All questions were about character, not talent. No wonder he's gone if thats what he hangs his hat on.
