Refs are tired of this series I guess. And ignore our player playing the puck on the delayed call

2 more year on Kassian's deal. Was nice of him to show up for the first 2 playoff games against LA after taking 80% of the regular season off

Hyman ties it.
No dumb penalty please. Defend if needed please.
EDIT: I was just about to ask if this crowd was also suffering injury.

How many guys does Landeskog have to cheap shot before the league wakes up? Thats no different than what Kane did.

RNH puts us ahead and Kassian almost gets a boarding call.

Great back half of the period. I thought they had basically given up after that first 10 mins in the second. Yowza.
Bench Kassian. Acquire win. Let’s go back to Denver.

I know Kass had ran him into the boards, but why didn't the ref's call Manson for the hack after the whistle? Kass did well not to respond obviously at that point, but you can see he's riled and needs to calm a little in between periods

Lol quite the look for Katz. Jaysus.
Dangerous play by Avs angel Gabriel, taking a vulnerable player into the boards. You're taught at a young age not to do that, you effing hypocrite. Connor with the big goal on the PP.
No laying down is good here in the 2nd. Big goals starting with Hyman, and by golly those Avs can eff up too. Nuge sniffed it out and scored the gag.
Why dress Holloway if you keep losing wingers and you're still not willing to use him? Doesn't make sense to me but wth do I know?
Malone damn near got a sog.

Someone needs to tell Kassian to calm down and wake the EFF up.
Dumb penalty to get the Avs on the board. After the Nuge goal he tackles Landeskog almost negating a PP. Then after the McDavid goal he almost gets a boarding call on Manson.
We don’t need a Hubble telescope to see what’s coming here.

I mean if Smith is going to wander that far out of his net, that puck needs to clear the zone.

I have defended Smith and his wandering from time to time over his Oilers career. If I was the coach, I am now at the point that I would tell him it isn't allowed and I would pull him if he did it . It wouldn't be an empty threat, I would give him a two foot buffer from the crease and that's it. For every highlight pass to McDavid he allows 8 scoring chances and 2 goals*. That isn't a good ratio.
*not fact based stats analysis, I don't want the pom pom brigade to yell about advanced stats and how useless they are.

I know it is easier to blame the refs than the deficiencies on the Oilers but it is pretty easy to see how much better a team the Avs are.
Outside of the top two players the Oilers are outclassed at every spot.

Ridiculous refereeing here. McKinnon should be out for that knee. Rantanen takes down Ryan and then scores on the powerplay because somehow they call Ryan instead?! I’m angry.

The reffing has been inconsistent for years. I am not saying it should be acceptable but it also isn't worth dwelling on it or being angry about it. Bad calls, non calls, missed calls, bad judgement are all just a part of hockey.

It remains I guess that you can't let in 5 when you're trying to stay afloat. Not good enough. 4 has to enough to win.
