So the team that we saw in fames 2, 3, and 7. Where the hell was that team in games 4 and 5?

If this team, the one that hits everything that moves and doesn’t let up, shows up for round 2, our opponent has no chance. What a satisfying and nerve wracking game.

McDavid is up there as one of the greatest players in the history of the game. He could have had 10 points tonight. In terms of ability to takeover a game, he takes a backseat to absolutely nobody in NHL history. Such a treat to have him on our team.

Do I care I woke the neighbours up??? No!!

Please no more game 7's, let's get it done in 4 or 5. Was hoping that Smith would send one into the empty net at the end there, but a shut out from him will do just as much. Didn't give any crazy rebounds till the last couple of minutes.

Nuge had a big game for me, nothing out of this world, but he did what he does best and do exactly what you'd want from him.

They got away from forwards supporting the D I think and generating the transition game. Lots of good stuff we did in the season vanished in some games in this series. Would be nice to think they learned a lot from this series.

Really underrated play by Yamamoto to place the pass inside the King's defender on the McDavid goal and allow McDavid to cut inside to go get the puck. Super intelligent.

Oilers did a really good job at the end in keeping chances to the outside and forcing the Kings to take shots from distance and Smith controlled most of the rebounds.

Oilers Goal Differential
17/18: 234 GF / 263 GA (-29)
18/19: 232 GF / 274 GA (-42)
19/20 (82 game pace): 257 GF / 254 GA (+3) in 64 games
2021 (82 game pace):269 GF / 235 GA (+34) after 38 games

Oilers media is so lame. Jones wheezing out questions to McDavid. Spector starting his question with "not to insult you but..."

Fantastic crowd though. Can hear them chanting through the window again.

What a game. The team came to play tonight. McDavid was incredible. Would love to see the depth show up in the second series, but for now - wow. What a player.

Glad to be wrong about this guy when we signed him. Better version of Larsson. Basically what we hoped Larsson would be for us at minimum. Solid defensively, pretty good skater. Bit of offense.

Only D that could shoot straight tonight.

They got gifted lengthy careers for being in the right place and right time covering the Gretzky Oilers era. They also know they couldn't hack it anywhere else so here they remain until they retire (hopefully sooner than later).

Tense, tense. Last 2 games, cripes.

This was pretty special for me, had my family including my wife and my oldest daughter who are not hockey fans, as well as my youngest daughter all watched the whole game. Usually I'm by my lonesome, this was awesome.

Just a great game by our team. LD still pretty effective on one and a half legs, I was scared he was going to be a liability defensively but wasn't bad because outside of draws he wasn't really playing center role. Need him at full, or closer to it to go any farther. McDavid wasn't gonna be denied. Smith Shutting the door. Ceci. Playoff Kassian. McLeod with by far his best game as an Oiler...by far.

Should have been 5 -0. McDavid with 6 shots on like a dozen attempts or whatever. Yams with 2 big chances. Nuge on the PP, had the whole top of the net, and 5v5. Kane. Archibald on the breakaway.

Nurse, hard to say, there's an issue there, or staying really conservative. Need him. Hope JP gets some mojo somehow, be nice to have him confident.

Great day, TO out again, we advance, now need a Calgary fold tomorrow night for the trifecta.

This team plays right and gets decent tending, they can beat anyone.

Quick made it so much harder than it had to be. He had 4 or 5 just amazing games in this series. Was surprised he still had it in him, but I guess I shouldn't. No matter how bad he played over the last 5+ years, he always seemed to get up for us (I blame the Yak knee slide goal). Nice to be able to put him behind us.

Really hope that style of game is what we get to keep seeing. D stepping up on everyone, was so hard for Kings to make plays entering our zone. Forwards supporting able to jump on pucks that broke loose. So little of that in most of the games in this series. But that is the stuff that got us on our run when Woodcroft took over. Keep it up!

Drai, please let that ankle have some miraculous healing over the next few days.

LA will be good prep for either Dallas or Calgary.. both play the same lock down style.. waiting for mistakes..

Now he’s asking Leon about his injury situation.

Gets this guy out of the room.

Does any org have a trifecta of terrible media guys like Jones, Matty and Spector? That has to be generationally bad

And the second tier is dog crap too - Tychkowski, Brownlee, Rishaug.

Jason Gregor can be a little better, but he isn't great either.

Really, other than Daniel Nugent-Bowman, do we have anyone who's not awful?
