Biggest game of the season tonight. At least until the 16th when we play Vegas. A win tonight would have us 7 up on Vegas with 10 games left for both teams.
Let's see how close to the mid 90s dead puck era the refs will make this game look.

Huge game. Kings are still banged up. Oilers had a bad few mins that allowed the Kings to get 2 quick ones. Kings are banged up, Oilers need to pounce.
If the Oilers win this game, there would still be season left but being 7 up would be pretty hard for Vegas to make up to get into the top 3.

Think I saw something on twitter after the Vegas loss last night that it’s 16.
But! When you have one of the toughest strength of schedules remaining and you’re pushing for a playoff spot, you gotta fade the outside noise and focus on the Must.
Also, other teams don’t matter to me this week because I earned that bye week in the Oilfans league *mic drop*

Just my opinion but with McD having 41 goals with 11 games to go, I think he can smell 50 which seems to be a big deal for a lot of players which could bode well for the Oilers down the stretch. The nice part about the Oilers having some good teams in their schedules is generally they play pretty well against the good teams.

Good quick math. 15 depending on tie breaker, so maybe 16. But that game next week against Vegas will be massive. That could cut the magic number by more than 1/3 by then.
We are in a decent position, but we have far and away the hardest remaining schedule. The great thing is, unlike Vegas, as long as we keep winning, doesn't matter a lick what anyone else does.

Considering Leon did the pregame skate before the Sharks game then did a pregame/practice today, sure sounds like he is playing. All the media guys who cover the team were saying if it was playoffs, he probably would have played against the Sharks so sounds like he is in.
I guess until we see the lines, it's not "official".

I don’t want them focussed on milestones. They did last year and we got bounced. The Oilers need to tighten the hatch and lock down their team game.
We saw what happened against Calgary when we get pond hockey oriented. This team needs to play like they’re in Div 1, with a dman substituting for a no show goalie.
