Not sure what happened, but Benson looks like a completely different player. Can’t believe RDOF ever doubted #16.

Oilers are such jokers. Everyone thought... "nice start to the game gents"...

And then reality caught up with us.

This team is better at experiencing colossal collapses than anything else. What a brilliant first period.

Looks like that additional depth is really filling in the gaps.

Not losing guys in coverage is just basic hockey, its seriously peewee level.

I doubt Calgary is excited about their game either. Oil gave up a lot big chances, but so did the Flames. This games is far from over.

Side note. Someone needs to put Zadorov through the end boards. Runs around with impunity.

An elite goalie saves one of those 3 goals. That is the difference between us being a contender and struggling to get into the playoffs. Also does not help that if its not our goalie letting in a bad goal a game its one of our own players putting it in our own net. Its like we face two teams every game. Oilers vs opponent and ref or Oilers vs opponent and our goalie or Oilers vs opponent and bad bounces.

Don’t imagine either coach was thrilled with that period.

My god, this broadcast crew…so brutal. In what world are Singh and Cassie the best people for the job? So so bad.

Cassie so behind the play, so out of touch with the game, so confused.

You can't blame Kostko. Just brutal transition defence. Lazy forwards not giving a damn about backchecking.

I think Smith was briefly the starting goalie again, but now the Oilers are safely back to having two backups.

Does Pulju disappear in big games? I know he’s playing tonight butttt…

Geez that last 10 minutes was a little boring, no goals.

You can't keep giving teams breaks on the keeper like we've done in this game. It's cost us tonight, it will cost us again in the season and could be a huge issue come post season (when we make it).

I get the feeling that the third might explode into a battle. Tempers are fraying a bit and things are being said.

That being said, as much as I hate being behind to that lot down the road, it's been well worth getting up to watch this game.....

A real 5v5 gem for the Oilers. Can't cover anyone, cant get the stop, and the refs are managing the game to achieve parity.

Gross.

If I hear one word in the post game commentary from a player, coach or Oilers media about learning a lesson, I'm going to puke. This is a veteran team. Several veteran players are at -3. Inexcusable play.

Doesn't help when you don't have any zone time in the thrid period. I hate to see the numbers on how long we played in the Calgary zone in the third.

Goaltending is obviously low caliber, but the real disappointment was the defense.

Nurse is a tire fire.. can't separate guys from pucks, chasing guys around in his own end.. and an own goal to cap it all off. Mistakes after mistakes are costing games. He supposed to be the Oilers #1 D-man.. not saying much.

Bouchard with another spaz night of hockey, IMO he shouldn't even be playing NHL until he learns how to defend.. w t f was he doing on that goal where he spazzed out and tripped himself down in front of Kosko.? He's spazzed out a few times in the last few games. When he pinches down at the point.. I never see him win a puck battle, or stop the puck from getting dumped by him... the puck always gets past him.. and then its an odd man rush. He's not a good skater, falls down a lot, no physicality, weak compete level.. does not think the game at a very high level.

Keith showed his age tonight.. seemed a step slow in comparison, barely handle the physicality.

Anyway.. next game.
