Kulak, is gonna make a difference on this back end. I believe he will have Keith pushed to third pairing.
Nurse - Ceci
Kulak - Bouchard
Keith - Barrie

Oh is that Mike Smith in net?
You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

Some jerk filled his jersey with weights or something. Or is that his old man moobs tipping him forward?

Basic defending error that you'd expect from peewee, not veteran NHL guys on a team looking for the playoffs.
Pretty disappointing.

Should have kept Tippett a couple months longer to lock in more deals

I was so frustrated watching his style.. I had to miss some games.. haven’t disliked a coach like that since Eakins.

Woodcroft is such a breath of fresh air. I agree.
Fwiw I didn’t HATE Tip. But much like Holland, the game has passed him by. No adapting whatsoever.

I absolutely agree, I was really excited for Tippett as I wondered what he could do with actual talent since he got so much out of Arizona but the game was well passed on from him by the time he was here.
Woodcroft is absolutely the right fit here before him I wanted Gerald Gallant as our coach but now I’m fully on board believing in Woodcroft! We haven’t looked like such a team in so long.

Sometimes it looks like he elects to avoid pushing off to the side. Was it a hip issue with him?

You saw what I saw. Floated up high, poor effort getting the puck, couldn't get it out, turned it over down low, then never covered the open man in the slot that scored.
I was watching a lot of his shifts, in his own end he doesn't seem to know where he should be most of the time, covering air, like playing a zone, but nobody's there.. over-skates the puck, fly-bys, doesn't seem to like stopping on the puck.. too often chooses to pass off in scoring position for plays that are worse options, I'm sure he's been told.. I remember Woody saying that was a thing he needed to work on when they were down in Bako, stop on pucks.. still hanging on to bad habits. Hopefully he learns quick.

So nuge is basically the make of break for our powerplay I guess hehe. Nuge seems way more confident this season. Maybe a rare player that actually plays his worst with the stress of an expiring contract

He took less so that the team could improve in other areas. Not a selfish bone in Nuge’s body. Too bad we can’t say the same about (9.)25

Yeah Nuge on the PP is GOLD, with him you have 3 guys that can sling the puck around, without him you had a guy like Yamo, Kane, or Hyman as a 3rd playmaker.. great players.. but not equivalent to 93 for puck moving..
Might be a mirage but it seems to me like 22 is skating better the last couple of weeks..
Liked Kulack, good skater, defensively aware, he's looking good for the #2 D pair.
Brassard; smart player, makes plays, looks great with Nuge and JP.

Nuge didnt register a point tonight but on the PP, heprovides a guy that can move the puck around in the zone to create different looks, he can retrieve pucks, he can distribute, and they have to respect his willingness to shoot. I think it makes a big difference to Connor and LD because although they will continue to be the focus, the PK cant fully key on the feed to LD for yet another one timer.
I think Kulak could be a damn good addition on the back end, significant upgrade on that side.
Anyway, good response to that last debacle. I fully expect an intense effort against Calgary.
