Is "stomach bug" just NHL code for Covid now? I've haven't noticed any players out with Covid lately.

Seriously Nurse? You recover the puck after letting Toffoli have a shorthanded breakaway, and your first idea is to ice it?

Yup, but I don't go to the whip until his salary goes up 80% or whatever next year and he's 'elite'.

Yamamoto went down like a $6 hooker. Little bugger has trouble scoring but he sure can draw penalties.

Might be time to see what Broberg can do on PP1………then watches him struggle hard in PP2.
How about that Benson kid?

Better off 5v5. To many breakaways and odd man rushes against when we have the pp. This team plays as if they are an all-star team instead of a tough to play against, make the simple play, battle it out playoff type team. Its failing.

I think the hard and fast rule on the PP is that LD is not to move his feet and provide a different look or lane under any circumstances. I guess saving the energy for his 27 minutes tonight so he's not gassed in the 3rd when they're down 2.

Watching Nurse this year has made me wonder...
Are their any updates on Klefbom? Guy went down with shoulder issues...and I can't think of any shoulder issue that would be career ending. Will he be back next season?

I think his shoulders are arthritic, and that would prevent a guy from being an nhler.

Our powerplay is pure comedy. How can it be this bad? It's like the team is taking part of an amazing Tippett troll job. Tippett, who sucked at special teams his whole career before coming here was the ultimate genius and only man alive that could get our powerplay to operate with 2 of the best players on the planet.

Obviously not much of an infraction if Ball and Hrudy are fighting over who committed it.
Flames take advantage either way.

I mean sure, whatever at this point. Team isn’t making the playoffs.. theyre falling down the standings while teams around them keep winning.

Man those brain farts have been absolutely KILLING us this season. Why Lagesson felt the need to leave his man and go after the other guy, thus leaving Toffoli wide open is beyond me.

Are there any other ways to gain zone on the PP besides 97 blasting through the neutral zone with his hair on fire?
Just wondering.

It's not all his fault. Zero run support. Thats got to really discourage the goalie.

Def not all his fault. We can't trade him for anything without giving up assets. Will be a long shot to make the playoffs after tonight and the next two games against the Caps and Lightning. Might as well see what Skinner has got. I hate that Calgary is good. They are not fancy. Just disciplined and crisp passing/positioning.

Player buy-in. You can have less fancy players but as long as they're buying in to adhwring to a winning system, the team can be significantly better. We've seen it here before. This group hasn't completely committed to anyone's vision of systemic play. They'll continue to be mediocre to suck until they do.

The worst is it is all a goaltender we didn't want to pay an extra $1m, and instead signed Smith...and a coach that we didn't go talk too who lives 1.5hrs from the rink, because we hate interviewing candidates with legitimate NHL resumes.

Koskinen isn’t the blame tonight….yet. Neither is the team defence. 19 shots against after 2. PP can’t do squat. PK looks horrid. The blueline looks okay at 5v5, but lost on special teams.
So weird.

Eric Francis is the absolute worst.
