Well, this will be a taste of LAM: Life After MCDavid icon_cool

Personally, I think the team is better without Berry and Ryan... sadly, I can't see TIPP using the replacements to their advantage.

It's rise up night in Toronto. Smiddy has had enough of you people talking about his old man hips and old man knees and old man ankles and old man slipping in the shower when he sneezed causing his old man back to go out. He's battling to shut out tonight. It's them against the world and brother, you're the world.

Geez Koskinen has to stop that third shot on Smith.

Koskinen has to get the shot that bounced in off of Marner even though Samo wasn’t boxing out properly.

I am the opposite. The goal against NY that deflected through Koskinen's legs, this pinball goal, that is what I hope for.
So many players are not playing well that I enjoy a GA where no one makes an egregious error.

McLeod, ya gotta bury that. Good frigging grief, guy thinks he's up 10-1 and trying to get another guy a Hattie or something, he's clearly passing that away despite face with 4 feet of gaping cage.

Coming up: either a "glorious win" or another post game of "I thought we did some good things"

...for anyone counting: another goalie brain cramp on that first one.

Smith didn't play that one great but it wasn't terrible.
On the brain cramp list I dont even know if it makes the bottom 20 this season.

We’re already in the visually better moral victory zone.

Visually, the Must is satisfied despite Koskinen not being able to make the early save nor the late period save.

Only solution here is to bench him for the rest of the game, right? Always the best way to deal with any young players’ error!

I have no dreams that Smith is still an elite goalie but I dont have the same sinking feeling on every good chance by the opposition.

Heck of a save on the Nylander breakaway.

Bouchard is not NHL. Dopey play after dopey play, forced himself to to take a late penalty because he thinks at the speed of a 90 year old man.

Thus team is cursed with fluky goals against and this strange super power that allows them to miss empty nets. Seems like one of each a game.

I think it’s tough to go from the press box to 20 minutes a game. Like, could there not be a step in between?

Wonder if there are any Foegele-like guys we could move him for to add a little bit of grit to the lineup.

Yeah, you wonder why on earth Edmonton fans think they’re the most knowledgeable in the league when they insist on running down every decent young defenceman who dares make an occasional error.

Six goals, 19 points, +7 - all of those team leading despite having only played 21 games before this season and despite getting no virtually no powerplay time. But we remember the one giveaway on any given night.

You wonder if Niedermayer or Pronger would have been run out of Edmonton if they were Oilers early in their career. I mean, this is the same moronic fan base that booed Coffey and thought he was too soft and error prone while he was a +237 in his time here…

You asked and answered the question all in one. We booed Coffey. We would have booed Niedermayer and Pronger. We've run any number of young players out of town. Young defenseman like Bear and Poti. Forwards like Comrie and Penner who don't look like they were working hard enough. Goalies like Dubnyk and Talbot who had outlier seasons or were just given up on.

Actually, now that I think about it, our management act an awful lot like the fans.
