Identical to the Kassian hit that resulted in a penalty, just ‘less aggressive’ according to Louie.

Pretty careless hit to try to take out McDavid's leg there. Kinda crap you get when a team starts feeling like they can get away with anything.

Can't believe that Barrie is considered a PP "specialist".

Strudwick was saying the other day that when the powerplay was going early in the year, Barrie’s eyes didn’t give anything away but lately his eyes have been showing exactly where he’s going with the puck and it makes lives easy for the pk.

heard the same analysis from Strudie, he's absolutely right, 22 telegraphs everything he's going to do.. while standing still because he can't skate, indecisive, gets pressured into a corner, and turns over the puck the other way. His shot is a non threat, nobody comes out to him at the point because they can see that he's going to pass.. plus his shot is a blueberry muffin.

This season and last combined on the powerplay
Nurse = 104 minutes - 11.94 Goals For/60 - 6.82 Points/60
Barrie = 284 minutes - 11.19 Goals For/60 - 6.55 Points/60
2018/19/20 Klef = 388 minutes - 10.51 Goals For/60 - 4.48 Points/60
Is there really much that we've asked of our D for years now on this PP aside from just not screwing up and being able to make a quick pass? The D is the least important part of what we try to do out there, unless it's someone becoming a weak link. Definitely would agree there is zero reason to keep gifting Barrie PP time if he's messing things up.

Such a great plays in the neutral zone to create a rush from nothing early in that PP, and Nuge tries a hope pass through multiple Canes to turn it into a 2 on 1 against. Lots and lots of wasted opportunities tonight.

Too many Oilers have zero finish.
Should have 5 goals right now.

We don't seem to know yet that the Canes play like they practice stick checking for half of every one of their practices. Stop thinking you can be a fancy pants surrounded by Canes sticks. You're not playing the Oilers with the lazy out of range limp stick wagging.
