Like it or not, despite being 10-3, this is a must win game.

Kris Russell back in again instead of Koekkoek. I'd really love to see a third option to those two - ideally someone who could push Keith down to the 3rd pairing.

Feel an Oil victory, but Neal and Perron will definitely score.

Bad trade. At the time he was the only Oiler forward that could cycle the puck with any success like a real NHL forward should. Tenacious.
Trade: Perron = Rob Klinkhammer and Griffin Reinhart

Not totally accurate! It was actually Perron for Klinkhammer and a 1st round pick (who became Mat Barzal). If you look at it that way and consider we weren't going to be contenders that year anyhow, that's actually a pretty decent trade.
It's the next deal that kills you.
Worth noting - two different GMs there too. What might have been remembered as possibly the best of MacTavish's many, many trades becomes instead remembered as one of Chiarelli's worst.

Yeah, but it was NYI who got Barzal.. we got GR.
Coulda, shoulda, woulda, have been an awesome trade if we got Barzal, but .. Chiarelli.
BTW, MacT on Sportsnet is pretty awesome.. I think he'll wind up getting a GM job out of that gig.

Kinda quiet offensively, though he did seem a cut above everyone else - great instincts and awareness. Tenacious on the forecheck. But what stood out to me was how responsible he was defensively. He was really really good. Didn’t vacate the zone early, great back checking the whole game. More surprising to me because the scouting reports talked about him being a bit lazy defensively and cheating on offense. I saw the opposite. Could easily see this guy being a middle 6 NHLer.
And Cats won 2-1 :)

I was pulling for Benson when he was drafted, hoped he'd come back from his 1 1/2 years of injury and fulfill his 2nd round selection, but after seeing him more and more, he just doesn't seem to have the NHL gearing required.
