Seriously? Refs are buying that crap from Perry? This league is a joke. As blatant as a dive gets

Perry is a puke. Always has been.

Tried pulling that garbage in the second with Chiasson, and managed to get the refs to buy the one with McDavid. You've got to think that Connor must absolutely hate this team.

I actually seriously dislike this Montreal team.

Just keep sending the puck back to Barrie and let him lay the puck into a bunch of Habs. Just pound it hard over and over.

I agree. My old man's a Hab fan and grew up watching them in French. Always had a bit of soft spot for them but this years squad is pretty easy to hate.

All the penalties they don't call and they called that a trip on Allen? Happy for the powerplay, but that wasn't a great call. Then don't call the crosscheck again on Nugent-Hopkins...it's just completely uneven officiating.

And now a penalty on Draisaitl there? This is ridiculous.

No one actually wants to see "game management" from referees. Call the damn fouls. Don't call the ticky tack stuff.

Yeah that was really weak on Allen for sure.

Make up call for the one on Smith where Toffoli did a tap dance and stepped on his stick. These refs tie themselves in pretty elaborate knots

Ooooh. So only the Canadiens get the benefit of game 7 rules.

We get penalties for hitting guys right after they play a puck

Yep, I'm quoting myself. This is brutal. I can't remember the last time I was angry at the refs like this. What a brutal game.
I'd be putting together a reel of every crosscheck. Leave everything else out as to not distract from the theme, just cross check after cross check.

Terrible.

This game has made me remember why I love the Oilers but hate the NHL. And actually, hate the overall mentality of “let em play” hockey.

This would be a nice time to get a goal from depth.

There's only 4 goals this month where McDavid or Draisaitl didn't have a point on it. And I think at least one of them were on the ice for one of those, and another was the empty netter last game.

At some point you can't just lean on those guys for ALL the offence.

So with the Habs' loss to the Flames tonight, the Oilers magic number on points to finish ahead of the Canadiens is 13. With 11 games to go, that means they need to go just over .500 if Montreal runs the table.

Magic number to finish ahead of the Flames is 7.

Surprisingly, it's Vancouver who can finish the highest right now. We need 15 points versus Vancouver because they still have a lot of games left (15). That one is the magic number on the playoffs currently.

The Senators could run the table and the Oilers lose every game remaining and they would only finish tied with us. They'd still lose on the tie breakers.
