The haters will say “it was Ottawa”. The real ones will say they did what they had to do.

On to Vancouver

What would the point be of putting Kassian back in this lineup? Team is winning, scoring, pushing back.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

Gotta sell Boston's scouting on his toughness!

Simple. His addition means the subtraction of Patty Russ. That alone is worth it.

Though... Archie is likely back tomorrow.

Where do you even put Kass? I haven’t been the biggest Chiasson supporter but he’s been playing some good hockey of late.

Seriously a trade of Kass for Debrusk would be money. Don’t see Boston doing that though without a big sweetener.

I'm not sure Devin Shore is a critical part of a winning NHL team too...we have some room on the roster for better players.

As I said, Ottawa is as tough as a wet cracker.

I wish we could play them every night.

Now forget about that one and put the boots to the other cellar dweller in the Scotiabank North Division.

Connor became the first player to hit 50 points in 30 GP or fewer in consecutive seasons since Pat LaFontaine & Mario Lemieux (1991-92 to 1992-93).

McDavid is 1 assist shy of having as many assists as Matthews has points.

Always a fun stat to follow. He's accomplished it 3/4 seasons so far. Little hiccup last year with the knee recovery and all.

No Cups

That was the first game in this series on in the UK, what a contrast with the games against the Leafs. A confident team who knew they could score if they needed to and did so. A team with confidence and a team worth getting up at 2am to watch. It wasn't outstanding, if anything it was a very professional performance, with lots left in the tank.

I await the next games against the Leafs, as I want to be able to suggest that last weeks series was a blip and that after the going behind in the second game after the first shut out, we lost self confidence and belief. Which isn't good seeing how we folded as easily against them in 3 games as we did against the Hawks in the play in. Something needs doing to remedy that, but for now we are winning again and onwards to 3am this morning and the Nucks.
