Apart from the commentary, apart from the officials, this was actually worth getting up at 2am to watch. Wasn't the blood and thunder game against Calgary that we got last year and once again it was a pretty tame affair, but we controlled the game well and was consistent all the way through.
I get an hours extra sleep tomorrow, I just hope it's worth it once again.
Take me home, country road
to the place where I belong
to Alberta, to see the Oilers

I turn on the game tonight:
My 5-year old: "We're playing the Yuck C's? We had BETTER win this game."
My 7-year old: "You know, I'm not saying it just because it's the Flames, but red and yellow REALLY don't look good together."
I'm so proud.

I thought that was a boring game and a weak effort by the oilers. Fortunately the Flames tried even less.

How many times in the past 14 seasons have you seen a nice muck up the neutral zone game ? I’ll watch that all day and our stars get 0 points if it means a regulation win against the flames.

Another positive "Cult of Hockey" tonight...
...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

Well that was one of the most boring BoAs I've seen in years, but a win vs the dirty flamers is a win so I'll take it.
Good Lord the commentators were awful. CPuck in full on meltdown mode, so that's something.
Hopefully we can bring a bit more intensity tomorrow night.

I went 2 for 20 on coolbets tonight and I’m going to bed happy. Thank you Jesse and a Oilers win.
I had our stars scoring. The over. Some props.
Thank you my big Finn. I didn’t bust tonight.

No Kassian and Tkachuk looked like he was skating around in mud all night. Is that kid losing a step already at 23? Or is he just bored now that he knows his qualifying offer is 9M after next season?
Giordano has finally lost a step too. About damn time!
Big Seive Dave was never the same after being called out for his cup win tier celebration after a SO win against us.
Yeah, BoA back to minimal life again.
