Sending killer instinct vibes to the boys. Time for a complete game of domination. You know the Flames will show up, after being manhandled by the Nucks. I believe this game will dictate how the next third of the season will go.

The team got grilled by their coach Geoff Ward after their last loss, sports radio just grilling the Flames and their players. Rhett Warrener went off on Fan 960 and apparently it was played nationally on Tim and Sid.

This is going to be probably the best Flames performance of the season, they are motivated and I hope the Oilers don't say "We weren't ready to play" at the end of this.

It wasn’t on the same level, but they were getting blasted prior to our game with them earlier in the month. They called that players only meeting and beat the Habs before winning 1 of 3 v Winnipeg before getting us. The Flames, in recent memory, have always seemed to “get up” for games v the Oilers where the Oilers have been hit and miss, energy wise. If the Oilers can get some goaltending and not get roped into the Tkachuk/Gio crap, they should have a decent shot at not just taking 1 but both games this weekend.

Seeing Mark (hockey play) Giordano limp down the hallway to his dressing room would be worth the loss in my opinion.

Even seeing Khaira put his head through the glass and taking 5 and a game would be fine with me.

just saying..

I hate Mark Giordano. Basically the next incarnation of Shane Doan as the guy that’s super dirty and always trying to hurt people but gets praised constantly for being such a gentlemanly player.

Only 2 teams in the NHL have allowed more goals against all season than the Oilers, and they are both in the same division. As usual for this season, it's going to come down to whether the D and goaltending can play another game like the one they had two nights ago- if they can, then this should be a win.

Neal hasn't played great but he can't be worse than what Turris has been bringing.. Maybe Turris gets his game together in the taxi squad practices, he looks really out of shape, something wrong with the guy, needs to see a Dr. and get a check up.

Hope Phlegm's are wearing the douche-bag black uniform so they'll look even stupider wearing their "psyche" jerseys as we beat them senseless on the score board.

Big game, will show who can bring it on the Oil, wish we had Bear, Lagesson, and Kassian, 3 starters missing.. this will test the bottom 6 and especially the D. Someone needs to run Giordano.

Marching down the Musty Road to a win!

A regulation win tonight would give the Oilers 7.8% chance increase in making the Playoffs, huge swing on one game. A loss would be devestating.

I think taking back to back against the Flames in the next few days could potentially crush them in this shortened season.

The scale you invented is moved toward obsolescence by the mass of must weighing upon this hockey game. The baseline has moved, we might need to adjust our thinking. It has to be approaching playoff level must..... but as Oilers fans, many of us don't even know or remember what that is enough to even recognize or comprehend it. The must might require peer review and even consultation if we could determine who to consult! The consideration of the must might even drive us into a circulatory vortex of thought from which it may be difficult or even hazardous to escape.

One thing is clear, I will need to drink tonight while watching the game, and being a slow Friday, I might get an early jump on it. Contrary to what anyone might think about my post so far, I have not in fact been drinking or using any mind altering substances for days now.

: #Flames Johnny Gaudreau, selected 104th-overall in 2011, has 461 points in 480-career games, three more than the 1st-overall pick in that NHL Draft, #Oilers Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who has 458 points in 622 GP. #BattleOfAlberta

Wow, great tweet. Next do a 2014 Draft comparison between Draisatl and Sam Bennett.

Eric Francis was ranting about how Johnny is part of the problem and not the solution after their last game because he will never perform in the playoffs.

So I guess the above comparison is meaningless. Johnny probably has 1 foot out the door already too. Eyes on the east coast in the USA.

Meh, I probably wouldn't trade Nuge straight up for Jockey if the money were the same.

TIPPETT might have finally decided to play the best group of forwards he has tonight...
He still doesn't get a pass because he continues to refuse to move NUGE to 29's left side.

...he still is refusing to admit that BARRIE's minutes should be limited to the PP. And only half the PP. Bouchard should get the nod over BARRIE as much as possible. BARRIE should never start in his own zone.

announce go boys!

...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).
