I bet it’ll be a lot of grit, compete, and gamesmanship. Old time hockey.

Guess Kassian saw Spector's tweet
Now he can go another 12 games doing nothing.

Ottawa only let in 4 goals in the 2 games against Montreal and only a few Minutes into this one you can see them just not give any of the Oilers room.
These won’t be easy games anymore.

His pregame interview was great. “I’m going to keep it simple. First game back. Don’t want to try and do too much”.

The hell. A guy doesn't get a couple seconds to realize his stick is broken? Need mind powers to know it's broken instantaneously.

I dont know this for a fact but I feel like there was a rule change a while back that the attempt to make a play triggers the penalty rather than length of time carrying it.
The announcers made no mention of it either so I could be imagining that.

my bad, wasn't a slash that broke it. Just a fluke of the puck hitting his stick. Immediately after the puck hit and broke his stick he tries to make a play. Then holds up his busted stick wondering what the heck happened and he drops it.
I dunno, I think it's a lot to ask of a guy to not make a play a fraction of a second after the puck miraculously breaks his stick in half.
Technically though, guess it was by the book.

Nuge looks off. He’s been double clutching all year and then tonight he misses the net on a great Puljujarvi pass from behind the net by a solid 6 feet from the top of the blue paint. Need to sight that one in.
Then you got Yamamoto with the open lane to the net and does the panic return pass. Like NetBog said, shoot the puck and leave the fancy crap for all star games. Why are we so opposed to hard working goals?

Just listening so far, but it sounds like the Oilers are controlling the bulk of the play. Bob Stauffer pretty vocal that they aren’t shooting enough although I think the players are more than capable of figuring it out on their own.
With Nugent-Hopkins, I think he’s been playing well. That line has been unlucky not to have more points - which is crazy considering McDavid is already leading the league in scoring.

Everyone looks like they are trying to be cute except for Archibald. Need more Archie and not trying to force the extra pass. Maybe the Oilers weren’t ready for the tight checking Sens? Easy adjustment. Smith looked decent.

84 was just as much at fault. At least Larsson rushed back (as fast as he can). 84 was even with Larsson, lazily wandered back, and not in the picture by the time the goal was scored.

For now....I will take the threat it poses.
It’s weird seeing such mobility back there lately. And 75 has a cannon and is silky smooth.

Dont get me wrong, the cannon is awesome but my favorite part is it almost always gets through. Has a talent for finding the seam.
