5 seconds, 2 whistles, and 1 player thrown out of a draw. Good start for me in my fantasy linesmen pool.

I am sure there is blame to go around but Koekkoek was spinning in circles and Turris was puck watching out front instead of finding his man.

Turris and Larsson got a front row seat as Lowry scores from 2 feet out. Either or both of you guys could've helped out.

I must pose a question - when is the last game you watched Crosby play and he was a non-factor? Or when did anyone ever talk about Sid's line mates not being able to produce?
To me there are glaring differences in Sid and Connor...
1) Connor disappears for games and if not large parts of games
2) Connor has never been able to make line mates better (aside from Maroon)
I am starting to wonder if Connor is trying to play his way off the Oilers on to another team...

Good lord. This is the worst take on here in a while.
McDavid has made an awful lot of players better. In addition to Maroon, Yakupov had his best production anywhere in the small amount of time he played with McDavid. Ty Rattie was almost a point a game player. Kassian got a huge contract because of a big half season with McDavid. McDavid elevates pretty much everyone he plays with. Eventually even Lucic scored because he was playing with McDavid.
I think you can't rely on memory to compare great players. You probably didn't watch nearly as much Crosby as you have McDavid. Everyone has good games and bad ones, even the greatest players (although for them the bad games come a little less often).
McDavid is leading the team in points again. He's up to 9 points now. He isn't the problem here.
EDIT: 10 points.

Yes, very apt for a game where McDavid ended up getting the primary assist on a tying goal and winner in the last 3 minutes of a game :)

It's possible this was just a clever attempt to get Connor going. If it was, then I completely applaud it, as it was incredibly successful.

I cannot wait until Bouchard is on the powerplay. Word is he can actually get the puck to the net for tips and rebounds. I'm pretty sure Barrie aims for the defenders shin pads.

Thinking same thing, wanted more shots on net, instead Barrie is banging them off of shin pads.. the new Shin Pad Assassin ..

Yamo has his work boots on. It’s just mind boggling how guys can sit on the bench, and stand around on the ice, seeing a kid who’s 5’8” and under 160 go out and be hard on the forecheck and back check, finishing checks, get to all the tough spots and they don’t get inspired to give even half of what Yams is giving.
This team has some incredibly talented players. But man, I’m getting close to the point that I’d rather be watching our late 90’s/early 00’s teams than these sloths. They at least worked and battled.

Since Turris was the closest guy, that's probably his man but I am not a fan of the Oilers vet, defensive dman in Larsson being out of position AGAIN and standing there with a look of "what just happened" on his face as the Jets forward fires it in. If he's not defending well, he's not doing anything for your team.

Kinda the JP we hoped for when he came into the NHL. Fast and tenacious on the puck. For sure he's gonna have to work on his shot as he develops, but if he is hounding and winning back pucks in the offensive zone, he's going to get points playing with McDavid. Guys like Kassian and Looch, just can't think or move quick enough to get on top of top quality opposition.
Keep it up Jesse!
Funny to think back to game 1. Jesse took a terrible lazy hooking penalty at the end of the game to kill our shot to tie it up. Wonder if he would have even played the next game with McLellan coaching.
