Okay Big Bill Lagesson, I’m not sold on you being an NHL defenceman like the club seems to be... make me a believer!

I know it wasn’t on purpose and they bench players based on performance, but sitting two minority players on Martin Luther King Day?

They're more available for in-game interviews?

It's really quite something that our best defenseman so far this season was signed weeks before the season started, near league minimum.

He's been real good.

Nice shift by he third line. I REALLY wanted that jam play to go in for JP. He is doing a lot of good things but I hope his confidence doesnt tank if he hits the schneid for a long period

Another good charge there for him in his 1st shift of the period. I am starting to get as invested in pulling for his success as I am for anything else with this team right now. If he was floating around or playing a perimeter game I wouldnt care at all but watching him do a lot of good things has me really on his side right now.

Koski is just not a good goalie. He would be fine if you had a team in front of him blocking shots all over the place and giving him clean looks generally... but he doesn't make many big saves and lets in softies like that one. Yikes.

Was that even a powerplay? Looked about as dangerous as Eric Belanger on a breakaway.

I could have sworn it just looked like 5v5 there, even though two Habs were off.

Another fart horn of a period for the Oil.

I know what Adam was implying but I didnt see Bieksa. Had to go look this up on Twitter.
The side by side with Burke is pretty good.
Can confirm we do not have the same hairstyle. Doesnt mean mine is better. I got one haircut after the first lockdown and have let it flow since then.
I am getting real close to the same hockey hair style I had as a teenager

Saw the shot of Bergevin up in the box. Replace his dark hair with my ginger flow and it's pretty much the same.
By the way, the light part is platinum, not grey. icon_smile

More hits thrown that period than the entirety of Saturday’s game (don’t fact check me, it’s strictly per the eyes)... and we spent close to 6 minutes on the powerplay.

The Oilers need their defacto number 1 goalie to not let in a muffin from the point.

The Oilers need a powerplay that shoots the puck. These teams have learned to defend against the McDavid cross ice feed to Drai on the half board. Almost 6 straight minutes of powerplay time, 20 some seconds of 5v3, and nothing to show from it?

Struds and Stauffer are spot on, quiet team needs a voice. It all makes sense as to why they don’t seem to be able to get the emotion up. Problem is... one Kassian or Neal won’t move the needle. I get Connor is generally a quiet guy in nature, but this team needs some juice. Fake fan noise isn’t enough.

omg this team. Honestly starting to get scared my kids aren't gonna be Oilers fans.

My 24 year old son is Leafs fan.
12 year old daughter went Pens, at least I can respect that.
10 year old son is on the fence between Leafs and Oilers, idolizes his big bro. Between that influence and the lack of sellable play by the Oilers I am having trouble moving the needle my way at all.

Hehe, it's like a 15 year period now where you have to almost brainwash your kids to really care about this team. I really had some actual hopes for rebuild 3.0 :(

No Cups

Soon be time for Nurse be healthy scratched - he is brutal. McDavid and Drai - are they even on the ice? Only effort I have seen tonight is from Yams

That was aweful. I think Nurse gave it away every time he touched the puck. Drai with a bad one as well.
Zero threat at any point.

Overall they have played a better game. I even saw a couple of hits. So it isnt all bad but man there is some bad decision making on this team.
