Replaces the likes of Granlund, Malone, Jurco, Currie who were AHL vets. Not much to see here.

Malone is still there; wonder if they will sign Currie also.
Depth AHL contract is fine. Most year's I'd be slightly concerned with how many of the 50 contracts you are burning on these guys, but with so many off in Europe this year, that's probably not a concern either. Hopefully the Oilers are deep enough neither Cracknell, Nygard, and Russell are injury callups and not on the opening night roster.

Is Malone there? Capfriendly is saying he's a UFA. Regardless, it's a 2 way deal and by rule you have to have some vets on your AHL team.

Signed an AHL contract. Which is probably preferable, though having a few vets who can come up and fill in for an injury isn't all bad either.

I wish we signed Cracknell to an AHL deal...

It's a farm team edition but I still got to say...
Weak.
The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.
Generally Disappointed.
