Tonight's game is a win/win.
We win: Solidify playoff spot and increase lead over stupid Calgary.
Winnipeg wins: We're still ahead of Calgary, and the Jets pass them too.
Best result: We win in OT, so Winnipeg ties Calgary, yet we still increase the gap.
Of course, that'd mean Drai would have to actually make a shift change in OT if we didn't win it in the first minute...

Hmmmm . Curious..... How many of our OT losses this year could be attributed to #29's leaden legs ??

Secretly make a deal with the Jets to get to OT so you both get a point to screw the Flames. Then in OT, see what happens.
Win win!!

The easy bet, looking at the 3 games from last year and the 2 this year, would be that this will end a 1-goal game.
Oilers need to do their goalies a favour tonight. Sounding like Smitty is getting the start (was in the starters net at practice yesterday). McDavid or no McDavid, this team needs to be awake before the first drop of the puck and play a full 60 minutes (or more, if required). Jets are tied for the Wild Card but have played an extra game and tonight will put them 2 games up on the others, so they will be hungry like the wolf. Oilers still control their fate, but need to step on the throat of a team that could, ultimately, stand in their way to play past April 12th (NHL Regular Season officially ends April 11th).

Big game. Hopefully a day of practice and get the team reset and out of whatever disconnect they have right now.

Sounds like McD and Yam are in. Smith the start.
Hopefully Smith comes out and plays well. I didn't think he was very good against the Hawks and if buddy Koskinen has been unbelievable. So if he wants to keep pace, he better pick it up.

Hopefully Conner is back up to speed for this one, healed up and well rested. Would be nice to see them start strong for a change but I'm not holding my breath. not sure what's been going on there. If the Oilers bring a solid effort they should win. They've been painful to watch since the Nashville game.

Is McDavid injury prone? Does he push himself too hard?
2015/2016 - This Kool-Aid tastes like McDavid flavoured Drain-O.
2016/2017 - This Kool-Aid is starting to taste like juice.
2017/2018 - I'm drinking this Kool-Aid, in hopes that it's Drain-O.
2018/2019 - Another round of Drain-O, good sir!

Perhaps too much ‘media’ time? Perhaps? Always on the go. Be it Player, team, media or sponsor related.

Still waiting for a bold media member to ask McDavid's opinion about vaccines.

I think it was Spec who asked him (twice) today if he’s had his tonsils removed. So. I mean, he was pretty close to it.

Ugh...why mess with Drai's line? Ennis wasted a lot of good chances last time on Drai's line with his refusal to shoot. Hope he's better this time.

Fully agree. There was clear noticeable difference with Ennis on that line. I didn’t mind Ennis with McD however.
Stauffer, the other day, mentioned that AA may very well be back with McDavid within 7-10 days. Probably once they feel he gets the systems they’ll try him up there again.
