Smith stops Toews... on a BREAKAWAY!!!

After a turnover by Chiasson, let us not forget. #39 needs to get over the OT goal he scored last game and fast.

He won’t be over it till the next goal he scores. That’s the French Canadian in him.

See, 'ol Petr was beloved by Oiler fans!

Don't worry. If AA does nothing but work the bench door for the entirety of a marathon O.T. only to score the winner it will be worth it.

Bad coverage. One of the easier wrap arounds I've seen. Oiler's 5 vs 5 game is visually bad. I thought this would be one of those defenseless 6-4 games. Oilers holding up half of that game plan...

A technically sound goalie that doesn’t continually over commit likely stops that.

Better than leaving him on a line with Chiasson and JJ, as that line was bad at offence AND defence at the same time.

Seriously, Sheahan is a boat anchor on this team. That's goal #3 against a line centred by this piece of flotsam. I don't blame Smith for being pissed- I'd be too if I had to play behind a team that crappy at defending their own end.

Poor Connor. The only other player he seemed to click with is Drai, and it's the one guy the team needs to play apart from him! I guess there was Patty Maroon too back when. Will Connor ever get Nuge/Yamo quality on his wings?

I fear the Oilers will make the worst possible signing this summer to address that.

I fear the Oilers will make the worst possible signing this summer to address that.

There’s not much else out there. I doubt he would come cheap, but if he was willing to take a bit of a haircut, he would instantly make this team a contender IMO.

Also - JP’s agent should convince him that there wouldn’t be many better places to pump up your value than on a line with 97 and maybe Hall.

Sigh. Whole team has cratered since about the 12 minute mark in the 1st. Can’t make a pass. Can’t make a save.

A rested CBJ awaits.

Jaysus, the 'dangerous chances for' stat for the Hawks is probably frightening. They could easily have a 10 spot on the board. Poor effort up and down tonight.
