They peppered Smith for most of the first, but came out of it 0-0.

Good road period in hockey talk

Apparently McDavid being out encourages us to play like goofs on the PP and give up SHG's.

2/2 in games without McDavid.

Understandable I guess. Every team without a McDavid lets in a SHG per game.

I was out of the room when it happened but WTH was Kassian doing kicking a guy in the chest. I fully understand the Lighting player was laying on two Oilers but he needs to cool it a bit.

He better hope the DoPS decide to not care about that one. No injury, so he has a chance.

I dont think he will escape this one. No injury will play a factor and it was in the chest where modern pads are like body armor. Anything involving a skate is a no brainier suspension IMO,
I dont know the precedence or going rate for such things but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 5+

What’s the problem with a kung fu master showing off his stuff?

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

Yeah, that was bad.

Small point... why was 82 out there instead of BEAR at the end?

Overall, Vasilevskiy was a difference. Bone head zone entry by 29 gave TBL a goal that turned out to be the winner was a self-inflicted wound.

Except for the SHG, the OIL played these guys pretty even. The deserved a single point.

That last one before the goal was just brutal - will be the lasting memory as he sits out 5-7 games for Happy Gilmor-ing

Kass making quite a few bone headed plays in that game for sure. Have never heard anyone rave about his amazing hockey IQ. Thought the team played well and could have won it with a little luck.
Oh yeah and Smith was great!
