Ladies and gentlemen, mawfks of all ages... Preds are both behind us and have a game in hand. We heard the team was ripped into by Tipps at practice yesterday... time to see what this group is all about. Wanna see Oilers playoff hockey? IT’S A MUST WIN!

If the team puts out the same level of effort that they did in the last two games, Tippett should force them to bag-skate until they vomit blood BEFORE he personally kicks each of them in the ass about 20 times each. It’s one thing to lose, it’s an entirely different thing to lose with putrid efforts despite having tons of motivation to win these games (that whole playoff race thing that these clowns are somehow still a part of).

Which team will show up today? The one that had those two good games against the blues and flames or the lazy one that won't put in the effort in what should be meaningful games to them? Makes you wonder if they really want to make the playoffs sometimes. Going full Bill Peters on them would definitely send the message but might cost Tip his career the way things are these days, not that they don't deserve a good boot. Smith should start. We know they can do it, play a full 60, it's just will they?

We are due for a McDavid and Draisaitl explosion on their respective lines, tonight would be the best time to pull that out.

From the Oilers website:

https://www.nhl.com/oilers/news/pre-game-report-oilers-vs-pr edators/c-314769188?tid=282301100

"LINEUP NOTES

Oscar Klefbom did not skate on Friday but Tippett confirmed that the defenceman took a maintenance day.

Mike Smith, who has not played since last Saturday, took shots in the starter's crease, which means he is expected to get the nod in goal.

Lines at Friday's practice appeared as follows:

Gagner - McDavid - Kassian
Nugent-Hopkins - Draisaitl - Yamamoto
Khaira - Sheahan - Archibald
Benson - Haas - Chiasson

Nurse - Bear
Lagesson - Larsson
Jones - Benning

Smith
Koskinen"

Hope the boys don't need another tongue-lashing from Tippett after this one. February is starting to look like December was in Oilerville. Time to step it up,boys - for all 60 minutes.

Crazy to think the last time he was on the ice he was beating up Cam Talbot. Seems like a really long time ago.

They just put Gagner anywhere, whenever. Hilarious. He’s in Bakersfield, then the third line, then fourth, then first, is he going to be a coach next? I’d suggest that he might be in the Oilers’ management team too, but I don’t think he’s close enough to needing a 12 step program to qualify for the job. 🍷🍷🍷🍺

2015/2016 - This Kool-Aid tastes like McDavid flavoured Drain-O.
2016/2017 - This Kool-Aid is starting to taste like juice.
2017/2018 - I'm drinking this Kool-Aid, in hopes that it's Drain-O.
2018/2019 - Another round of Drain-O, good sir!

Who does he think he is, Kevin Lowe?

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

You beat me to this joke by only an hour and a half. At least we know there's a succession plan.

The performance of our goal tending overall makes me think giving him a shot at the crease may be next.
