If there’s one positive, the OOT was about as good as we could have hoped for.
But like you said, that was a steaming pile...

Had this been in November, we'd put this to bed and forget about it, but in the context of the chase to the play-off's this was a awful game to lose. Lucky in that everyone around us, with the exception of the Yotes won, so this could have been worse, but we need to rebound on Thursday.
Take me home, country road

to Alberta, to see the Oilers

Klefbom with the bonehead play that really cost this team the second goal. That was just an all-around horrid sequence for him.

He's been looking dopey for a while, going to start calling him Klef-bong, his brain doesn't seem to work at NHL pace and it shows..

The team hotel is going to have to throw out the mattresses, because they all have diarrhea stains on them after tonight.

Russell will score next game for sure. I just know it.

Saw that coming.. classic.. just when you actually start to feel this team is bonafide... and they'll drop a deuce at center ice.
Big loss.
Put Arizona from Sell mode to thinking they can do it.
2nd string goalie, and OEL on IR, and they crap their shorts.

AZ pressured the puck all night. Stars had no room. To be honest it kind of looked like the formula for beating the Oil.
You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

Gotta score first on this team. Especially when we clearly were not up for the game. Not giving yourself much of a chance against Arizona if you are just napping until you get scored on. Then you have to face the full trap as you're trying to finally put some effort into coming back.
Both teams get 2-1-1 in the season series.

Coming for of a emotional victory. Playing a boring team that’s miss their two veteran defenders and their number 1 tender is still on the IR. Did we ever really think we had a shot?
Thankfully the scoreboard did us a favour tonight. Needed a bounce to go our way. Couldn’t convert. PP came on strong a little too late. Congested, boring, winning Coyotes hockey. What can you do?
Reset for the Sharks on Thursday. All is good. Can’t win them all.

Well that sucked. I could see it coming. Hoped it wouldn't happen but I could see it coming.
Played the Flames in an emotional, fight filled game. Lost in a shootout, goalie disrespects the team.
Played the cup champs. Measuring stick game. You win.
Played the rematch against the Flames. More fights. They will be replaying the goalie fight for years. You boot stomp the Flames. Call out the goalie that disrespected you.
THEN you play the Yotes. A team that isn't overly tough, doesn't play a physical style of game, doesn't play with a lot of emotion. Their game plan is to defend, lull you to sleep, hope you make a mistake and the goalie stands on his head.
Not an excuse. It was a divisional game, the teams you want to lose actually all lost. Missed opportunity and a game they needed to get up for and win but didn't.

Typical ! For whatever reason they never seem to seize the opportunity these supposedly easier games present. The highs....the lows ! Maybe Benson gets a chance to show what he can do now. Don't understand how they can come out that flat given the situation they are in in the standings and key players out for the Yotes. No excuse is good enough. Disgusting !!!
