Oilers better wake up. Koski has made 3 or 4 very good saves already.

As usual I am watching the opponents feed. I am not sure who the announcers are but they are terrible.
If you were new to hockey you would swear the coyotes were a top team and the Oilers were dead last by a mile. I dont mind a little homerism, in fact I kinda appreciate it, but these two are out to lunch.

Just loads of pressure from the Oilers the last couple shifts.

Yep, good to see. finally got their third shot of the game, first two came in opening minute or so. Hopefully they keep at it as it looks like a different team out there.

I think the guy who's finger is on the shot counter is quite a homer.

Maybe the play by play guy is pulling double duty. Seems like that would be right up his ally

Jokes aside, I dont think there was many missed being counted. The Oilers had two good shifts but barely even tried to shoot, when they did it wasnt on target or blocked. Even on the PP it was pretty scarce, one shot maybe?

The Garland/Dvorak/Hall line has been all over the Oilers. Not surprised they opened the scoring. Lots of flat feet on that play but Bear needs to make a better play there.

Not sure. He was definitely part of the pre game show.
They had Biz as one of the between period analysts and I would like to hear him to some colour. He turns not his idiot persona and is a pretty good talking head.

As I type this a shorty against, those can be killer.

Lots of help from the out of town scoreboard but still no reason for the lack of effort we're seeing.

It's been 3 days since they played the Flames, so I can't understand why the energy isn't there. Tippett has to be ripping his hair out on the inside.

Connor has been looking pretty human lately. Outside of the two goals against Calgary, dude looks like he's taken a backseat to Draisaitl lately.

It can be tiring to carry a team on your back throughout most of a season. This is what happens when a team lacks that consistent secondary scoring.

Can now confirm that it is in fact Nash on colour. Awful.

The coyotes have been pretty bad the last ten games or so, short handed on D. If it wasnt for a handful of big saves this would be a blow out. One of the worst 5 V 5 games of the year so far. The PP hasnt bailed them so it means a rough 40 mins so far.

And they flew to Scottsdale right after the game so they’ve been down there since. And they’re staying in Scottsdale, not Glendale. Longer commute from the hotel. At least I’m pretty sure that’s what Stauffer said earlier.

Whilst we aren't playing well we managed to pull the SOG from 12-4 in the first period to 18-18 by the end of the second, yet they scored 2 goals on us. Watching the Phoenix feed, and nothing is being said about how badly we are playing, lots of credit to the Yotes.

I get the feeling that if we get a goal early in the third we could kick up a gear, but where the goal comes from I don't know.

Good point. Arizona is the last team you want to play after a high emotion game. Putting the hockey world to sleep

Succ indeed, as Connor makes a dumb play near the blue-line before getting stripped of the puck, letting the Yotes off the hook for icing. Please wake up, captain, the team cannot afford for you to enjoy smelling your own anus.

1st line was just awful. McDavid needs at least a tiny bit of help.

Imagine Tippett is wishing he injected a bit of skill and energy with Benson right now.

Top two lines now;
97-29-56
89-93-44

Recipe for succ(ess).

1st line was just awful. McDavid needs at least a tiny bit of help.

Imagine Tippett is wishing he injected a bit of skill and energy with Benson right now.

Dare I say I hope Neal is back Thursday? Eek.

Have to think Benson draws in Thursday after this. I don’t think there’s a world in which he brings less than Khaira, PRussell or even Chiasson honestly.

I manufactured more in 20 seconds than the Oilers have in 59 minutes tonight.

Really JJ? Now? You wait till there’s literally 43 seconds left in the game to show emotion?

Don't ascribe to malice what can be explained with simple stupidity, or in this case, simple laziness. The entire team decided to take the night off. People can talk about the trap, but the trap has been in place in the league for over 25 years now- if teams don't know by now how to play against it, they shouldn't be allowed to exist.
