Whew. What a relief. Mark (lightbulb head) Giordano feels it’s just another “hockey play”.

It wouldn’t bother me one bit if McDavid told reporters after the game tonight, he felt a two-hander to lightbulb heads wrist was just a play for the puck. Regardless of the score. This garbage on the leagues best player needs to stop. Obviously the league isn’t going to stop this, so...

Lightbulb says he’s not sure if McDavid was upset about the non call on interference or the hit itself. Yeah, because 97 always gets this upset about a missed minor penalty. What an asshat.

In all honesty, in Wednesday’s post game scrum, it would have been pretty great if he (McDavid) or Leon said something to the affect of “Gary, my $25,000 cheque is in the mail” and then unleashed on Giordano and the missed call. But, Connor opted not to cause a media circus, which is his way of speaking his mind.

Someone who isn’t a player for the Oilers needs to say something. Treliving came out and said that any talk of Giordano’s (hockey) play having malicious intent is complete garbage. Which in itself is complete garbage.

Bring the effort that was brought last night and they have a chance. The fLames always seem to get up up up for these games. We’re tied (again), going into their barn, we have a game in hand... a regulation win tonight will go a long way in this stretch drive and could be the difference between home ice in round one. Should be a dang good one tonight.

Imperative to get 2 points tonight! (#MUSTWIN)

I’m sure we’ll only see him/her (can I use absolutes like that referring to someone’s gender here?) if the fLames are ahead, otherwise he/she (again?) will stay hidden in his/her (anyone?) tkurtle shell.

I envision most trolls sitting in front of a computer in mommies basement eating a bag of Pork Rinds and slurping a Diet Pepsi in a larger container than the XL popcorn container they give you at the theater. Obviously sweatpants and a shirt with 9 generations of Pepsi stains.

Picking zits and eating their own snot of course.

We're generally a pretty tolerant bunch around here and put up with light trolling, but I suspect you're walking the knife's edge here. If you start just slinging insults at the bulk of the people in here, you''re very likely to get banned.

Maybe that's not a big deal for you - it is just a rival team's fan board, but then, you did go to all the trouble to create a profile and come visit regularly, so if you want to keep coming here - I do suggest you be polite.

On a more serious note, how do you like that Lucic! Living up to expectations?

I'd strongly prefer a win tonight. At some point the Oilers need to know they can beat this team and not just hope to win a tie breaker.

Lucic and Neal are two totally different players and it unfair to compare the trade based on goals / points.

Lucic will never again drop 20 goals and Neal was bound to come back after the bad year in Calgary.

It was a signing that didn't work out for either party. It happens.

I'm not happy with the money Lucic is making but the trade had to happen.

Neither guy was happy where they were so why not swap ???

Sure...

he will always have a physical game...he will never match the goals / points of Neal.

And it incredibly wrong of both fan bases to think so...

Why not swap:

1. Lucic has a longer history of being terrible
2. Lucic is slower
3. Lucic makes dumb plays that cost goals
4. Lucic is entitled and makes leading comments to the media
5. Lucic will probably be useless long before the end of his contract
6. Lucic's style of play goes very poorly for players over 33
7. Lucic isn't one dimensional, he doesn't really have a dimension
8. Lucic has hands of stone
9. There had to be better options for trading Neal than taking on the worst contract in the NHL
10. Neal's buyout wasn't that bad in a few years from now
11. Neal's rebound capacity/likelihood was far better than Lucic's

Why Swap:

1. Ken Holland sounds like a really nice guy on the phone
2. Jonny Field Hockey didn't like Neal
3. Dressing room, or something

That's all I got.

You forgot the caveman likes to continually pout on the bench. Slamming doors. Slamming sticks. Cussing loud enough to be heard in the upper bowl. You know, like most great leaders do.

If he is fine with doing that in front of 18,000 people and national television, I can’t even imagine how bad it gets in the dressing room. If I played or worked with a person like that....I would have a serious problem with him. Which I’m sure many leaders on the team did.
