Tough to put much blame on Koskinen for any of the goals.
On the third one specifically Haas stone hands a pass that goes right to the Flames. No one clears the puck or the players from the crease and a rebound gets chipped in. Those happen to the best of goalies.

I'm well “aware” of that, but I’m really not too worried about it. It’s the battle of Alberta coming back from the ashes.
And it was the second period of game 46. I dont really think “idiot” was warranted for Kassian there.

For many years this team has been a pushover. You have to look bigger picture. It wasnt bad luck that the Oilers were among the league leaders in games lost to injury every year.
You have to put a guy that in his place before it goes to far. I dont want a team of big slow thugs acting like idiots every whistle but other teams need to know if you run around taking liberties, someone might cave in your orbital bone.

Second time Tkachuk ran him and got him with his head down. Do that to a guy like Kass and he ain’t gonna be happy. Tkachuk knows what he’s doing, and other teams and their fans hate the guy for it because he turns into Franklin once he makes contact.

I feel like we watched different goals.
Bear could have made a better pass.
Hass could have rec'd it.
Kosikinen made a good save
Bear could have cleared the rebound
Bear doesnt clear Dube
No other Oiler seems to (Nurse, Hass, Gagner if memory serves) seems to think they need to help out
Rebound goes in
Sure Koskinen could have covered it faster but he is a long way down the blame list for the 6 Oilers on the ice.
As far as the first goal I highly doubt he even knew the puck had been shot by the time it got to him. Once again, lots going on before the shot. The 10 secs before was a lot of Oilers missing chances to stop the rush, clear the puck etc. Trying to read a spinning shot like that is impossible.
Just because the goalie is the last chance to stop a goal doesnt mean they are always to blame.
Also, no credit for the good saves he has made? How about the 2 back to back on Johnny's breakaway?

If the Oilers do make the playoffs I sure hope they play the Flames, this would be a fun series. I dont think we match up great with them and would likely lose but it would be a heck of a battle.
