Sign me up for the Oilers just getting the ESO horn section to play the national anthems every game. Way better than knockoff opera man.

Lazy penalty... Habs hemming in the OIL early in the period. OIL had better wake up. icon_neutral

I’m not complaining, but I am curious as to why Koskinen hasn’t started any games lately.

Is he still “under the weather?”

I just remember they were going to go with the 1A and 1B option. Has this changed?

Russell trying to do his best pylon impression there. Limp wrist attempt to block the shot, then just turns away from the shooter and lets him skate around him for the rebound.

Talk about losers. I have said it off and on for years, any team that Russell is a regular player on is not good enough on D overall to be a contender.
He basically did the exact opposite of everything a defencemen is taught to do.

Constantly backups up, flopping around, can't make passes. Yeah, in terms of NHL players, I would call that style of play that of a loser. If he wasn't good at shot blocking, he would be an ECHLer.

Roughly the same strategy on goal number 2, back up too far, off balance, weak stick swing.

You never want to bring up too many AHL guys at once but I really hope someone gets a chance soon and earns a spot in the show. This team needs to start pushing the anchors down the depth chart ASAP.

Yamomoto is better fore checker now than he was previous NHL time. Keeps his feet moving and has a fast stick. Doesnt get dominated down low or in corners like some small players do.

Hi guys, new here...how in the heck is Jujar still on this roster? Bension cannot be worse. He is not an NHL player, looks lost out there.

Welcome!

Holland is waiting for some mold to start growing on Benson I think. He's not overripe enough :)

Jujhar definitely takes a ridiculous amount of nights off. It's a shame. Was an easy guy to cheer for early in his career. He's just not getting any closer to NHL quality consistency. May actually be regressing the last couple years.

Welcome Spatial!

I mentioned it earlier with Russell but the same applies to JJ I believe. He needs to be pushed down but you cant have too many new players all at once.
Yamo came up and so far has held his own. This is pushing people down. Give it a cycle, 6-10 games for most teams, I think Holland recently said he looks at the season in ten game chunks. If Yamo has earned more time I would bet that Benson is next and gets his chance to earn a spot.
One at a time you push out the guys who are what they are, IE not good enough to help this team win consistently.

Good point, just seems Jujar has been poor for awhile, don't think he makes it on many NHL rosters.

They keep pushing out these Ice District commercials. Is it here yet? Should I put my snowsuit on for the ensuing festivities after the next home game?

Yeah, but to me that’s just Gougers Place, not Ice District.
