He might have been slightly screened though.

Looked like Klef boxed out the front of the net well. Smith has to have that one.

Can ya blame him? His stars were out for a full 2 minute powerplay trying to set up the perfect right handed shot with 5 left handed shooters only to allow the Pens to win a puck battle as the powerplay was expiring leading to the breakaway.

He could also be upset his ‘guy’ Mike Smith, is looking like Kelly Hrudey out there.

Gonna have to score 5 tonight for a win lads.

It's too bad Smith has all those bonuses for games played or he would be the ultimate tanking tool right now.

1 more start to get his first 125k bonus (20 games). Then 125k for each of 25, 30, 35. Then 250k for 40, 45 I think.

Thats fair. they arent playing horrible, just no jump, no urgency to anything. The way they are playing reminds me of preseason hockey. Or a last place team playing out the final 5 games.

Both Pens goal scorers in the first period had just one goal this season prior to tonight. #SlumpBustin

P.Russell should demand a trade to whatever team we play next.

Montreal. Tomorrow.

PRuss for an authentic poutine, who says no?!?

Have you ever had Quebec poutine... we might need to throw in a sweetener.

I have yep! And you’re not wrong. Hahaha.

I’m serious when I say this... Costco makes the best poutine. Man. Now I want a Costco poutine.

Smith is so bad on breakaways.

3-1 Crosby-less Pens. (On 13 shots...)

That he is, almost zero lateral movement, just backs up and kicks his leg out.

And now goal three by a guy scoreless in last ten.

Overall, another pretty sad performance though (almost) 40 mins

I thought they had actually controlled it pretty well after Kass’ goal till that Nurse shin rocket pass along the blue line to Bear leading to the god awful attempt by Smith to stop that breakaway.

Thats fair. they arent playing horrible, just no jump, no urgency to anything. The way they are playing reminds me of preseason hockey. Or a last place team playing out the final 5 games.

The Pens have no Sid... why do we have to show urgency? It’s in the bag! We’ve seen it all year. They play down to their competitors.

I didn't think with Kosko being a finn that he would be so good at poutine.

Oh you mean the grocery store. It is good and the cheap hot dogs or pizza go together like the Oilers and no movement clauses.

I envision a Finnish poutine being fish cut into strips and served with a freshly squeezed cup of milk.

The real question with Costco dogs is, beef or polish?

Smith isn't square to the shooter and he's almost inside his net there. That was pathetic.

YUMMAY!

Beef!

I like how you don't need a Costco card to shop at the restaurant. If you work near a Costco it's a can't beat lunch option, and usually not busy around noon.
