Is this one of the first games that most people here aren't picking the Oilers... that took a long time.
Edit: Last few games in the scoreboard score prediction
LA - 85% picked Oilers
Buf-84% picked Oilers
Car-68% picked Oilers
Tor-71% picked Oilers
Dallas - 44% picked Oilers

Regression is back in town! It's okay though, this isn't an awful hockey team, just a below average one. McD and Drai could get hot and, along with our 7-1 start, get us into the playoffs. The question is what help is coming at the deadline. Would a 5 game playoff series followed by the offseason really bring the fans back?
You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

A loss of lossed lossy loss that a loss is a loss no matter what it is a loss.
The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.
Generally Disappointed.

The big boys need to button their games down and get back to playing how they did early in the year. No more lazy back checks and fly byes. The big boys are leaking chances because they are cheating for offense.
The bottom 6 guys and dmen seem to be chipping fairly consistently what you need from them which is a goal or 2 a game. He big boys need to pick it up in particular Nuge and Leon.

Don't look now but the Oilers have dipped into negative goal differential for the first time this year, which has historically been a pretty good predictor of playoff achievement. GF holding up okay, but GA has been on a pretty wicked slide (unsurprisingly), of late.
Oilers Goal Differential
17/18: 234 GF / 263 GA (-29)
18/19: 232 GF / 274 GA (-42)
19/20 (82 game pace): 257 GF / 254 GA (+3) in 64 games
2021 (82 game pace):269 GF / 235 GA (+34) after 38 games

If we go another month with 2 goalies playing like zero confidence Talbot's (could also be classified as bad 80% of Koskinen careers, or last 1.5 regular season Smith's), then I boldly predict we will miss the playoffs.

Let’s see how long Tipp keeps Drai and 97 apart? Do they make it to the second period?
