Looking at Schneider's stats, I remember when he used to be considered a good goalie. Of course, let's hope that the team doesn't make him relive his youth tonight....

I don't care how much time Kass gets playing with Drai and Connor, he cannot be considered a 1st-line forward. Even 2nd-line is a stretch. This team really could use a deal to get someone like Hall back into the line-up even if they have to give up another high-paid player to do it outside of the D.

Loved that SN just showed a graphic illustrating the lack of secondary scoring by the Oil with Nuge and Chiasson featured on the low end of the stats. They have become passengers.

Feeling lonely in here?
I absolutely agree. But I have this feeling Shero would rather trade Hall to 29 other teams before trading him back to Edmonton unless he’s getting an absolute stud (29 or 97 which would never happen) back.
Hall won’t be an Oiler via trade. Only way it happens is in the summer, though we won’t have the money for it. ‘Fraid that ship has sailed.

How am I lonely for pointing out yet again that the Oil need more scoring from their forwards? Is this some sort of revolutionary opinion?

Nuge made a great heads up pass to get Drai the puck there. Secondary points!

I’m watching the game too! But didn’t check the internet during supper. Secondary scoring is a pox that threatens the season.

LOL, nah, I wasn't surprised to be the lone poster because frankly this game didn't warrant much comment until Drai scored. The Devils are just not a very good hockey team, and the fact that it took this long for the Oil to score on them should be a cause for concern.

The only thing that has changed more often than our coaching staff over the last decade has been our bottom 6 players. It seems that secondary scoring has been a crux of this team regularly, with this year reaching new heights (so far).
Something has to happen and I think Holland needs to be the one to make it happen.
Sheahan and Archibald are NHLers.
Did Granlund buy Reider’s house?
Khaira looks to be a shell of himself from last year.
Haas.. not sure what to think tbh.
Patrick Russell... don't think so Jim.
Then we have Kass and Chiasson playing above where they should be out of necessity. Something needs to happen. It’s in Holland’s hands.

This game is basically Connor, Leon, and a team full of faceless mooks in ugly Oilers jerseys vs the Devils. I'm not bothering to name these mooks until they start scoring on a semi-regular basis. I don't even feel like bothering to remember their jersey numbers either, because most of them shouldn't still be Oilers by the end of this season if this team is going to have any aspiration at all of hoisting another Cup in the future.

They look like Canadian Tire Islanders knock offs. I saw one in the wild, I didn’t like it there either.

My first reaction when they were announced was negative. Much like many Oilers FA signings. Also like the FA's I agreed to give them a chance to prove themselves on the ice before I fully hated them.
The FA's and the jersey's are now fully in my ugghhh category.

He got injured in a pretty stupid way too on a nothing play as befitting a faceless mook that has to be carried by the Dynamic Duo.

I'm not faulting Klef on that penalty- that was an incredibly stupid pass by Persson that forced him to grab the puck.

Ok, maybe they should give that guy a shot on the PP1. He keeps this up, I may even have to remember his name and stop referring to him as "faceless mook".
