Bear injured on a garbage play with a pen player kicking at his leg from behind near the boards to trip him. Refs completely ignore it of course and sit back and watched the play turn into a quality chance against us.
Hope he's back in the 2nd. THat would be devastating for the team to lose him.

Looks like the refs are determined to get Sid and the boys a win. ( very marginal call on Nurse ) That goal by Cave was a thing of beauty! Not bad for a grinder.

Of note, Cave's goal was the first forward 5v5 goal of the season with an actual 3rd or 4th forward line out on the ice.

Refs ain't stopping the weak calls now until we get scored on. Phantom high stick call followed up by a lame hold call.

Granlund positively noticeable today. Won that draw against Crosby to start the Cave goal... and drew a pen when the Pens seemed to be invincible in the refs eyes
