Well here we stand... 8-4-1. Feels like 4-8-1... can’t take the first 2 periods off and expect to win a game, which is something we’ve seen from our beloved Oilers the past couple years. This team man.
Bottom six... WAKE UP. Bear, keep it up. Conner, Leon, you do you. Kass, I saw you in junior and that Goon movie... be a mix of the two. RDJN... keep cleaning up the trash. Nuge, Gags... hit the net boys. Koski, Smitty.. thank you.
MUST £^?¥!<~ WIN!!!!!

If we can shut down big Rick Nash I think this is an easy W.
You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

You'd think after a stinker of a game at home against Florida, then following it up with a lack luster effort against bottom feeder Detroit, that the team would come out motivated but who knows. I thought for sure they would come out fired up in Detroit and they were lousy.

Funny, they're probably thinking the same about the Oilers if they shut down the Dynamic Duo. Wanna bet on which of them gets luckier tonight? Yeah, me neither.

I think Tippett needs to put Neal back on the right side. The guy is comfortable there, he prefers it on the right with a left handed center. He has 10 goals in 13 games, 7 are on the PP but his 3 even strength goals puts him tied for 3rd on the team with Kassian. I'd run these lines.
Leon - McD-Kassian
Khaira - Nuge - Neal
Granlund - Sheahan- Chiasson
Gagner/Juco/Russel - Haas -
If I was Tippett, I'd be talking to Khaira and telling him he's running out of time. I would put Nygard on the second line once he is ready.

I guess I'm a member of the 'Pom Pom Brigade' because I'm not endlessly sour about this team.
I think they'll come out and take care of business tonight. Just got off to a bad start last night and couldn't recover quickly enough. BJ's lost guys in the offseason, and are beatable.

2 crap efforts in a row, you'd think the whole team would come out flying for a change.

I think you need to look at splitting up the big guys to get some other players scoring.
Leon - McD-Kassian
Khaira - Nuge - Neal
Granlund - Sheahan- Chiasson
Gagner/Juco/Russel - Haas
X McDavid Kassian
X Leon Chiasson
X Nuge Neal
When they don't score for 2 periods like yesterday go back to Leon - Mcdavid - Kassian.

I believe Ron Wilson got a lot of fame by playing 2F 3D lines when his team had a load of forward injuries. The Torpedo formation :) A 2-1-2 with a D playing rover.
Do it Tippett!

The Red Wings aren't beatable? They're the 2nd worst team in the league, or at least they were before the Oil came along to cure their woes.
