The Edmonton Oilers announced Saturday the team has recalled veteran forward from the AHL while assigning to the AHL in a corresponding move.
Gagner has two goals and two assists in four games for the Oilers' AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors.
The dream of various unknowns creating bottom 6 offense for us is on hold, for now. Hopefully Gags can get something going there.

McDavid and Draisatl after no supporting scoring last season
You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

I like Haas well enough, but he seems to be struggling with either the small ice surface or the physical play of the NHL. Last game there were several instances of him simply not being ready for contact, he was surprised and ended up falling and have the puck stopped. Hopefully the AHL can help him out.

I agree, was going to say the exact same thing about the NA rink size. I think there is a player there from the short sample size we have seen. For his size he skates really well, good right hand shot too.
Good to finally see good roster management. I'm sitting here thinking what thing would have been like under Chiarelli today, guaranteed Benson and Yamamoto would probably be up in the NHL.

Good move, Haas could use some AHL time to get use to the NA game and Gagner ( who is all NHL except for his foot speed ) should be motivated and might spark some bottom six scoring.

If Gagner even gets 3 points, he'll be the leader in points on the entire bottom two lines.

Gotta think Gagner draws in tomorrow against Minnesota. Nine games in and a single goal scored while the big boys were off the ice...only six forwards with goals on the season...they need to inject someone else who can occasionally threaten the opposition's net.

My prediction. Haas ends up going back to Europe. I believe he has said he would play in the AHL for a short time but not a long time. He looks like a guy who is maybe a tweener. Hopefully they play him a lot in the AHL and he turn into a player. He has flashes but the difference in the game between NA and Europe seem to be affecting him a lot.
