Well, that's a better start than in Monday's game. Dr Drai!

Whoa. Best team ever.

Did the Flames trade Talbot?

How the Oil manage to have the #1 PK in the league while having opponents spend so much time in their zone is beyond me but hey, if it's working... confused2

Ok, great guys, you have a good PK, but let's stop forcing it to work with dumb penalties, OK?

Oh my - how much longer do we need to watch Russel play at the NHL level (I am going to pretend Manning isn't actually on the ice) - would it not make more sense to have Bouchard there?

Did Persson get hurt? I didn't even realize that Manning was playing in this game until you mentioned it just now. That is perhaps not such a bad thing, though....

And right on queue he makes the 100 foot lost pass! What a play by McDavid to make up the distance and then out muscle Braun for the puck.

In regards to Russell. As much as I dislike his game he is still our 4th ish best defenceman right now.
Klef and Nurse have been good. Bear is already better. Benning has had some good moments but likely still less overall. Manning is awful.
I like the pace the D are playing with this year and the tactics are solid on the outlet passes but the depth is still not good and for now Russell is needed, at least until some of the young guys in Bakerfield can push him out.

The Flyers just have no answer for the Oilers PP. None whatsoever. It's really nice to see the team blow out an opponent.

Christ, Connor and Drai are just ripping it up to start the year. As they go, so do the Oilers.....

That escalated quickly. Flyers were rolling then 97 scores and the wheels fall off.

Hopefully the bottom 6 get some big minutes in the third. Rest the stars. Think this one might get nasty.
